As Disney World continues to reopen, lots of activities are starting to become available again!
We’ve seen restaurants reopen, hotels become available for booking again, arcades and play areas reopen, and more. Not too long ago, fireworks also returned to both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. And now a very special way to view the fireworks has also come back!Â
Recently, we noticed that something on the Disney World website has changed! Disney’s page describing fireworks cruises no longer notes that these are temporarily unavailable. Just yesterday, Disney also confirmed via the PlanDisney Instagram account that select specialty fireworks cruises are now available for guests to enjoy once again!
What is a fireworks cruise you ask? Well, during a specialty fireworks cruise, you’ll have the opportunity to hop on a boat that will sail you and your friends/family out into the water to watch either Magic Kingdom’s Happily Ever After fireworks show or the EPCOT Forever show!
The reservation comes with snacks and soft drinks, and festive decor like banners and balloons can be included upon request.
You may even spot a Hidden Mickey!
Each cruise is accompanied by a captain, so you can sit back, relax, and just enjoy!
If you take the fireworks cruise to see Magic Kingdom’s fireworks, you may also get a unique view of the Electrical Water Pageant.
Then, it’s time to enjoy the show from the water.
The Plan Disney Parks Panel post also noted that their Magic Kingdom fireworks cruise included a tour around Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake. Be sure to ask if your specialty cruise will include a small tour like this.
And keep in mind these cruises can be done to see the Magic Kingdom fireworks or the EPCOT fireworks.
Interested in booking one? You can set sail from any of these locations: Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort (to see EPCOT Forever), or Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge (to see Happily Ever After).
You can call (407) 939-7529 if you want to reserve a fireworks cruise.
The cruises start at $399 plus tax for a 25-foot boat. These boats can typically fit up to 10 guests. Prices can vary, however, depending on the time of day and prices are subject to change.
What other activities or events will return to Disney World in the future? We’ll be keeping an eye out for all the latest updates so we can share that news with you. Stay tuned for more!

This is a good sign . Looking forward to seeing dessert parties come back. Any news on that?
Rick, so far nothing on the dessert parties.
Just FYI … I was on hold for 3.5 hr tonight to book a cruise for August. The cast member I spoke with told me they are only able to book through the end of July as of now. She said they will start to post when more cruises are available on the My Disney Experience app soon.
I wish I had seen the other comment earlier. Saw the article, so I jumped on hold for an hour and half to be told we could book the fireworks cruise yet. Argh.
Just called to book a cruise in August and only July is available right now. He suspects that when the fireworks schedule is release for August, then August reservations will be available. Thought you guys would want to know especially if you are planning something special (like we are).
Thanks, Vanessa!
DVC rep just told me they will sit you with another party if you don’t fill up the whole boat. This made no sense to me as you are paying one price for a private charter. Thoughts?
