Today, July 26th, is the 70th anniversary of Disney’s Alice in Wonderland movie!
To celebrate the occasion, you could watch the film on Disney+ or even grab a Cheshire Cat Tail snack in Disney World. But soon, you’ll have new ways to celebrate with some special Disney collectibles!
It’s a very Alice in Wonderland-type of day, with the Cheshire Cafe reopening in Magic Kingdom and now new merchandise that’s based on the movie! The first celebratory souvenir that will be coming soon are these bowls, by the Mary Blair collection! We’ve seen a Mary Blair-inspired limited-edition Alice doll released recently and now you can add even more Mary Blair touches to your home.
The bowls are light and dark blue on the outside with colorful details from the movie on the inside! So far, we can see one with Alice surrounded by flowers, another with our favorite talking flowers, and a teacup with the White Rabbit on the outside! These will be available on shopDisney beginning August 16th, 2021!
The bowls have the bold, colorful style of Disney Legend Mary Blair, whose unique colors and styles influenced Alice in Wonderland as well as several other Disney films (such as Peter Pan)! You may also recognize Mary Blair from her work on “it’s a small world.”
But wait, there’s more! Disney has released a peek at more items that will be coming as part of this Alice in Wonderland 70th anniversary collection, including, specifically, a new dress with more Mary Blair-inspired designs. This is also set to be released on August 16th.
Both the key and the pin have the grinning Cheshire Cat on one end, with colorful flowers in the middle and all over the Castle that’s on the other end!
The key and key pin will be coming out on August 16th as well! We’ve seen a lot of collectible keys coming out recently, like ones for the Cars anniversary, for the new Cruella movie, and even one to celebrate the return of fireworks!
If you’ve gotten into the collectible spirit, keep an eye on DFB for details about the latest merchandise, and we’ll let you know what we find.
