Do you know who Mary Blair is?
We wrote about Mary Blair a while ago as one of the people that only real Disney fans know about! Well, if you adore her (like we do) you’ll be happy to know that the Disney artist’s design style has inspired a new, special edition doll celebrating one of the films she worked on — Alice in Wonderland!
Mary Blair was an artist at Walt Disney Studios. You can see her colorful and adventurous artistic style in Disney films like Cinderella, Saludos Amigos, Peter Pan, and Alice in Wonderland! You’ll also see her work every time you ride “it’s a small world” because she helped to design the ride! The big shapes and bold colors are quintessentially her style.
Now, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Alice in Wonderland, Disney is coming out with a limited-edition doll inspired by Mary Blair!
The 70th anniversary is on July 26th of this year, so on that day at 7AM, the doll will be available to buy on shopDisney! The Alice in Wonderland doll is Alice wearing a colorful dress inspired by Mary Blair’s style that has flowers with faces, like the ones seen in Wonderland itself!
The doll will be available for a limited time, so be ready on July 26th at 7AM! And keep following DFB for more news about Disney merchandise!
