We LOVE this time of year — the time when all the fall and Halloween food and drinks come out and make us think of cool days, colorful leaves, and everything we pretty much don’t get here in Florida, at least in early September.
Block and Hans
We’ve already dived into so many goodies, including a spicy (!!!) cupcake, a fun push pop with LOADS of icing, a boozy colorful flight of drinks, and a Haunted Mansion cake! Although we love all the new treats we’ve had a chance to check out, we’re also excited to see some returning faves!
Today, one of our favorites returned to Block and Hans at EPCOT! It’s the Spiked Frozen Apple Pie, which is made with Old Smoky Apple Pie Moonshine, Minute Maid Apple Juice, and Cinnamon. It looks like fall has officially arrived at Disney World (seriously, we’re a little sick of tropical Halloween drinks).
FALL drinks are here!
Well, look at it — this drink LOOKS like fall with its orange and gold hue. And flavor-wise, it tastes VERY fall —Â you actually taste the spices first and then the apple second. It’s not super sweet, and although you can taste the alcohol in it, it’s not overpowering the other flavors. Last year, this drink was served in a super cute cup, but this year it is back to a plain plastic cup.
It’s like drinking autumn.
Now as it is hot out, this baby melts FAST, which means you end up with all the ice on top and liquid on the bottom. We really think something like a cinnamon sugar rim could have taken it up a notch, or maybe even something like a caramel drizzle added on top. But if you love fall flavors and apple pie, this drink is something you’ll still want to dive into. We first tried this at the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, and we’re very glad it’s back!
