We are HUGE fans of Disney’s food (obvs), so after a few days of funnel cakes, plastic cheese, and Gideon’s cookies, we’re ready for a little bit of exercise to balance out all the calories. Plus, the holidays are basically here and that means even MORE chowing down!
We’re gonna need some exercise to keep healthy, right?! What better way to make working out fun than with Disney exercise videos? We found eight of the best free workouts you can do for free from home, each with a Disney theme!
We’ll take a look at Disney-themed HIIT workouts, Yoga sessions, dance workouts, and more!
Let’s start out with a full-body HIIT (high intensity interval training) workout! In a HIIT workout, there’s a series of intense cardio bursts with less intense resting periods in between. Since it’s high intensity, experts recommend easing into the workouts, with just one or two a week and plenty of rest in between!
This workout is from That Disney Girl on YouTube, and it has four intervals, each set to a different Disney song.
Disney Dance Workouts
If you’re not really a fan of cut-and-dry exercise videos, dancing workouts can be a great way to sneak it some great exercise while still making it really fun!
The next workout is a Disney Dance Workout by Up to the BEat Fit. It’s family-friendly and combines cardio-dancing with some remixed Disney songs!
We’ve got a couple more Disney dance exercises for ya! This next one is Mulan-themed. Anyone else think that Mulan would make the BEST personal trainer?
This video is by Kyra Pro, who has several Disney dance workouts on her page.
The next Disney dance workout we found just makes so much sense: a High School Musical Dance Workout!
This workout features songs from the different High School Musical movies with dance moves you can copy from home. It’s by Erika Collins Fitness.
We’re heading back to Kyra Pro’s page for the last workout in this section (seriously, she has a ton of Disney-themed workouts). It’s the Disney Princess Dance workout, which has cardio exercises to Disney princess songs!
There were plenty of Disney dance exercises available, but let’s check out some other kinds of workout videos available for free on YouTube!
After any workout, the best thing for your body is to stretch really well. For the perfect cool-down, we found this full-body yoga session that’s set to Disney music.
If you can’t do all the yoga moves perfectly, it’s totally fine! (Take it from a very non-flexible yoga enthusiast.) Just do the best you can, because any stretching is great for your body.
A good yoga session can be really zen and peaceful, but what if your house is full of not-super-quiet kids?
If you’re trying to fit in a workout with a lot of little ones around your house, why not invite them to join in? There are a lot of different family Disney workouts on the Disney Family YouTube page, like this one with an Incredibles theme.
The workout is designed to be great for adults and kids to do together, and it has clips from the movie interspersed throughout.
The Disney Family page has a lot of family-friendly workouts, like ones themed to Moana, The Lion King, The Jungle Book, and more!
The YouTuber blogilates has several Disney princess workouts, and one of our favorites is this one called “Ariel’s Abs,” designed to give you mermaid-level abs!
You’ll do several different ab workouts based on where the pointer lands on the wheel of Little Mermaid-themed exercises.
Now you’re all set to get moving, Disney style! Remember to drink lots of water and stretch really well after your workout. And once you’re finished, check back here to find out which delicious Disney snack you should snag for your reward. 😉
