Whether you’re snagging Magic Shots from PhotoPass photographers, your own pics of the fam, or even just beautiful photos of the parks around you; it’s hard not to keep that camera out and snapping away. There are some iconic photo spots around Magic Kingdom but we have to say…you’re using one of them WRONG.
If you’ve had a friend on social media visit Disney World, chances are you’ve seen a purple wall selfie. The purple wall is a theming element in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland that has become a bit of an iconic spot for photos.

Something about the geometric design and pleasant purple tones just make folks want to snap a selfie! We’ve CERTAINLY taken our fair share of purple wall pics — and you probably have too!

But, we hate to break it to you. You shouldn’t be taking selfies at the purple wall.

Ok, ok, you shouldn’t JUST be taking selfies at the purple wall. This spot is actually a WAY good photo spot, but not for the reasons you might expect. To see what we mean, you’re going to want to turn that camera around.
Magic Kingdom
Yep, this spot has one of the best views of Cinderella Castle in ALL of Magic Kingdom! You’re still looking at the Castle relatively straight on, but it’s at a slight angle to give the structure more depth. Plus, the light tends to hit it just right from here, IMO!
So pretty
Plus, you’re typically not crowded with TONS of people ALSO snapping Castle pics. You can line up that perfect shot and make sure other guests aren’t in your frame a LOT easier.
Cinderella Castle
If you’re looking for a GREAT Cinderella Castle pic, head on over to the purple wall. Then you can just switch that camera around and grab a great selfie too. 😉
