There must be something in the air — we’ve been seeing some crazy things happening in Disney World lately! You might remember the recent double attraction closure caused by a smoky refrigerator in the Magic Kingdom, plus there was the delayed reopening of Splash Mountain! What is going on, Disney?!
Hello from EPCOT!
Well, it looks like Disney just can’t catch a break, because we happened upon ANOTHER evacuation in Disney World this morning — this time it was over in EPCOT!
The Creations Shop in EPCOT is a fairly new gift shop filled with pretty much ALL the Disney merchandise a person could need. There’s a lot.
It’s kind of like the Emporium but in EPCOT!
During our visit to EPCOT, we noticed some commotion outside the Creations Shop; the store was evacuated, and all Cast Members (and guests) exited the store.

It looks like the fire alarm caused an emergency evacuation! We didn’t see any smoke or fire, and no emergency vehicles were sent to the scene. For now, it looks like the store is closed, but we’ll continue to keep our eyes out for any updates!

Keep in mind that this is probably a temporary closure! Disney tends to err on the side of caution, so this evacuation was likely done out of precaution. We’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so be sure to stay tuned for more!
