Did you know there’s a way to make a stay at Disney World’s fanciest hotel even MORE luxurious?
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is a Deluxe-level resort with a gorgeous lobby and a very upscale feel. Even the normal guest rooms feel fancy, but DVC members can also book a stay at the Grand Floridan Villas. And with new upgrades coming very soon, there will be more of these high-end rooms available!
Beginning today, March 1st, 2022, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is adding 200 brand-new Disney Vacation Club Resort Studios to the hotel. Guest rooms in the Big Pine Key building will be transformed into these new rooms.
We’ve already seen some concept art for what the new rooms will look like when all the refurbishments are finished. And we can say now that the updates look very luxurious!
The refurbishments began today, and Disney is expecting to finish sometime in the summer of this year (2022). We can’t wait to see the finished product! Some existing DVC deluxe studios and 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom villas will also be refurbished during this time.

Ron says
Wow, Villas will be in all the most expensive hotels. Price increases on everything. My family has been to Disney 28 times. We are the type of MIDDLE CLASS PEOPLE who supported Disney over the years. It’s obvious to me that Disney feels they no longer need the middle class who saves to take our children and grandchildren to Disney. The middle class cannot afford a Disney vacation but it’s obvious to me that Disney feels that they no longer need us and that’s one of the reasons that all of these villas are replacing regular rooms. Disney would rather have fewer rich customers than more lower income customers. SO SAD AND GREEDY.
