It’s something that no Disney fan likes, but EVERY Disney fan has to deal with…price increases!
Ever since Walt Disney first opened Disneyland, price increases have been a constant in the theme parks. We’ve seen ticket price increases, hotel price jumps, and lots of changes to things like merchandise and food. Recently, there has been a small price increase in Disney World that you may not have noticed!
If you’ve been invested in Disney’s popular nuiMOs trend, then we’ve got an update for you! These little posable plushes were pretty pricey when they were first released back in 2021, but since then, we’ve seen them go up in price a few times. And recently, the newest releases have been more expensive!
When the Disney princess and Zootopia nuiMOs were first released, they were no longer listed at the same $19.99 price tag as the other designs — starting with these new collections, nuiMOs have been $21.99 each! So far, we’ve only seen this price increase affect the newest nuiMOs (the old ones are still $19.99), but we’ll be watching the prices of the classic ones closely to see if they update as well.
Back when they were first released, these plushes were all $17.99 each, so that’s a $4 increase in just over a year. It may not seem like much when compared to price increases on other items, but it’s a significant jump for an item that was originally less than $20.
We’ll keep you updated if we see any more merchandise changes or price increases in Disney World! Stay tuned to DFB for the latest news from the parks.
