Disney+ has pumped out a TON of series and films since it first debuted in 2019.
From Marvel shows like Loki and WandaVision to Star Wars series like The Mandalorian and Obi-Wan Kenobi, there’s certainly no shortage of ad-free content on the service. But, Disney announced a while ago that ads would be coming to Disney+ in the form of two different tiered plans — one with ads and one without. And now, we know just exactly how much those plans will cost — and your ad-free Disney+ experience is about to get MORE expensive.
Disney held its third-quarter earnings call on August 10th, 2022, and shared quite a few details about the current state — and future — of the Walt Disney Company. We were hoping to learn more about the new ad-supported plan coming to Disney+, and now we know just how much the ad-free tier will cost.
Disney announced that the current, ad-free version of Disney+ will increase in price by 38% to $10.99 per month and will be called Disney+ Premium. The annual price for Disney+ Premium will be $109.99.
Right now, the price of Disney+ without ads is $7.99 per month. This will be replaced by Disney+ Basic, which will feature ads and will start out at the same price as the current, no ads plan — $7.99. The change will take place on December 8th, when the Disney+ Basic plan is introduced.
For current Disney+ subscribers, you’ll have to choose between paying the same price and getting ads, or opting for the more expensive ad-free plan to continue streaming without interruptions.
We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more Disney+ news, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for more!

I re-upped for another year early July. This price increase might make me drop Disney+ next year and just do a month or two here and just catch up on anything I would like to watch.
I have a question, what will happen if I pay for a year. Since I already paid do you think I will still get ad free till my yr ends or will I start to get ads?
Good bye Disney +. I’m sick and tired of Disney nickel and diming us to death! Disneyworld will also be on my hit list. Especially if the put my condo fees up another 5.4% this year.
I don’t get it. You pay for watching ads? Silly me, I thought the ad based service would be free.
The greed of these companies is just beyond belief.
So I did find out about my questions. If anyone is interested. They will offer a yr subscription for $109.99. Now if you already have then ur yr subscription will be ad free because they do not offer a yr subscription with ads. When ur subscription ends it will renew for the $109.99 unless you tell them otherwise.
