Yes, we talk about Disney food a lot, but sometimes you just want some Chicken McNuggets and McDonald’s fries.
Of course, McDonald’s has WAY more food than that, and it keeps introducing new items all the time. You can even get Krispy Kreme Donuts at SOME McDonald’s locations. If you’ve got kids, Happy Meals are probably a staple. However, depending on what state you live in, the price you pay for those items varies.
If you’re looking to order a Big Mac in the U.S., you’ might notice that the price is up. But if you live in certain places, the price is even higher than in other states. Although the Big Mac only cost 45 cents when it first launched in 1967, according to CashNetUSA, you’ll now pay a whopping $5.31 in Hawaii and $5.23 in New York, where it’s the most expensive.
However, you can travel to Mississippi to get the cheapest Big Mac for just $3.91, followed by Arkansas where it’s $3.95, and Alabama and Missouri, where it’s $3.99. The deep south tends to have cheaper McDonald’s prices.
What about the price of a Happy Meal? The most expensive Happy Meal can be found in Hawaii, where it’s $3.71, followed by New York, where it’s $3.65. The cheapest Happy Meal can be found in Mississippi for $2.73, followed by Arkansas, where it’s $2.76.
Again, you can get cheaper McDonald’s prices in the Southern states vs. the more expensive McDonald’s prices in Hawaii and the northern states. So if you have a choice of what state to get McDonald’s in while you’re traveling, now you know how to do a little price shopping!
