What’s better than Disney World FOOD?
FREE Disney World food, of course! Disney World is offering its Disney Dining Plan for FREE with certain hotel stays, and we’ve just found a hack for this discount. But don’t worry — we’re not gatekeeping! We’re gonna share it with you right now!
First up, if you’re not familiar with the Disney Dining Plan, it is a plan you can package with a Disney World hotel stay and park tickets that essentially allows you to pre-pay for the meals you’ll eat on vacation. There are two tiers of plans available — one that provides meals at Disney World quick-service restaurants and snacks, and one that allows meals at both table-service and quick-service restaurants, as well as snacks. We’ve got a complete list of the restaurants that accept the dining plan — click the link below to get it!
Is the dining plan a good deal? Our very best answer to that is … it depends. If you’re interested in truly getting your money’s worth out of the dining plan, that’s going to require some research. If you’re after a way to budget and turn your vacation into an “all-inclusive” one, the Dining Plan can give you that feel. But we CAN tell you about a situation where the Disney Dining Plan is an AMAZING deal — when it’s FREE!
The current free dining offer at Disney World is for Disney+ subscribers. Disney+ subscribers can now get the Disney Dining Plan for FREE on select dates when they purchase a non-discounted 4-night, 4-day Walt Disney Travel Company package. This package must include a room at a select Disney hotel and Park Hopper theme park ticket. This deal is available for trips most nights from July 1st to September 30th, 2024. But that’s where our HACK comes in!
A member of our DFB Team wanted to take advantage of this deal, but really wanted to travel in early October. They were able to book this free dining deal for their entire trip in early October by checking in on September 30th! So keep this in mind if your dates don’t exactly line up with this promotion!
Now, we still need to talk about VALUE here. In case you didn’t notice, you need to pay full price for a Disney World hotel and buy park hopper tickets to get a free dining package. There are also discounted hotel rates, and depending on where you want to stay and what you want out of your trip — you might get a better deal WITHOUT the free dining. How do you figure out what’s best for you? The best advice we can give you is to enlist expert help from a travel agent who specializes in Disney. Their services cost you nothing, and they can run all the numbers and tell you what’s going to work best for your individual situation! We recommend contacting our friends at Small World Vacations before you book!
We will keep sharing all the Disney tips and tricks we discover with you, so keep following us here at DFB!
