Disney World can be magical.
It’s definitely a place where dreams come true and magical moments are around every corner. But there are a few habits that some visitors just can’t seem to kick. So let’s go over a couple of things we’re hoping to never see done again in Disney World.
Let’s talk about a couple of things we’re begging you to stop doing in Disney World in 2024.
Stop Trying to Park at a Hotel to Get Closer to Magic Kingdom
Look, we get it — the excitement is real, and everyone wants to skip to the good stuff ASAP and make the most of their Disney experience. But trying to snag a parking spot at a nearby hotel to shave a few minutes off your journey to Magic Kingdom — not cool.
Disney’s got plenty of parking options, and trying to game the system just adds stress. Let’s all play by the rules and keep the magic alive.
Enough with the Rope Drop Madness
The early bird catches the worm, as they say. But at Disney World, you might just find that all the early bird catches are a crowd of fellow rope-droppers, turning the peaceful opening moment into a frenzied race.
Instead of fighting for position in the early morning rush, how about stacking some Genie+ lightning lanes for the evening? This way, you’ll get to enjoy a more relaxed start to your day without missing out on those epic rides.
Keep the Budget Intact
Sure, the magic is real, but the dent in your wallet can be real, too, if you’re not careful. Our best tip is to set a budget and stick to it.
There are plenty of affordable dining and souvenir options that won’t leave your bank account in a sorry state. Sticking to the budget means more cash for your next Disney adventure.
Clean Up After Yourselves
It may seem like magic, but in case you didn’t know, fairies aren’t keeping Disney World spotless — it’s the hardworking staff.
Show some love and dispose of your trash properly. Let’s keep the park as clean and magical as it’s meant to be for everyone, including those unsung heroes making it happen behind the scenes.
Quit Dining on Trash Can Tops
Listen, we get it. Disney World has some delectable snacks. But turning trash can tops into makeshift tables? Not the most appetizing move.
But, if you must indulge in those tasty snacks on your makeshift table, do so while being aware of your surroundings. Please don’t block others from being able to toss their trash where it belongs.
Those are just a couple of the things we’re hoping you never do in Disney World this year. In the meantime, be sure to stay tuned to DFB for more tips, tricks, and resources to help you plan the BEST Disney World vacation possible.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding what I’m reading. I agree that the above things are cringy with the exception of the budget one. How would anyone know what I spend and even if they did why would it make them cringe?
Tracy says
I rope dropped last week for the first time in many many years and I don’t think I’ll be doing that again. Way too crazy and crowded.
Kira says
Eating on top of a trash can is disgusting. Maybe Disney should provide more seating options? Just saying.
