Brightline is going to get an EXPANSION in Florida!
We’ve seen how successful the train company was when they added a station to the Orlando International Airport. Honestly, we feel like these trains can be a big game changer when it comes to travel. They’re even getting ready to take their services to the West Coast to help connect major cities over there. That hasn’t stopped them from making moves in Florida, though! It sounds like Brightline is planning to build ANOTHER station on Florida’s east coast — let’s talk about it!
We’ve seen Brightline taking Florida by storm — chances are, if you are in the area you may have seen some of their high-speed trains passing through. Their goal is to make train travel modern and eco-friendly. They provide intercity routes throughout the state of Florida for distances that can be too far to drive, but too short to fly. They have been changing the game for day trips, and we think we know where our next day trip destination will be!
According to TCPalm, in December 2023, the city of Stuart, Florida, applied to have a Brightline train station built in their city. They were among a few different applicants, and they received some good news this week.
According to city officials in Stuart, Florida, they will be getting a NEW Brightline train station built in their downtown district. This is HUGE news, as it expands options for passengers when they’re deciding where they’d like to spend their day. According to the South Florida Sun Sentinel, they got word of this happening on Monday, February 26th; however, Brightline hasn’t made a statement of their own yet.
Nonetheless, we are SO excited to have another stop on the Brightline route. Right now, the train connects Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, and Orlando. With so many great destinations to choose from, this new addition will make our choices EVEN HARDER — but we can’t wait.
We’re keeping an eye out for all updates on this project, so keep checking in with us at DFB for Brightline news and updates.

Live Oak Florida would be a great place for a train station in middle of state north florida. It would be a great asset to our community.

Fort pierce would have more rider ship. Not enough stops at North endand to many stops on south end.

I believe Crestview at the northwest panhandle of Florida would be a great place to have a train running top to bottom of Florida. It also is the place many military soldiers are housed making it a place to travel to and from. Would be great in the panhandle. Thanks.

Why no focus given on the northeastern end of Florida? It is very difficult connecting from Jacksonville, Florida to places like Palm Coast and Daytona Beach. Some consideration should also be given, to have direct connecting flights from the northeastern states to Daytona Beach Airport . The infrastructure around the mentioned areas are changing by building more homes, but no way for the people to travel to and from other areas of the country.

I wish they would consider Southwest Florida.. trying to get from Ft. Myers to Orlando or Daytona via I-75 and I-4 or up the now busy 17 or 27 is ridiculous.
