WELCOME… or, perhaps I should say “Willkommen” to a place we very much look forward to visiting each year at EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival!
We’re talking about Bauernmarkt: Farmer’s Market — one of the Outdoor Kitchens (also known as Food Booths) at the park’s springtime celebration! You’ll find this booth nestled in the Germany Pavilion as you stroll around World Showcase, enjoying the Festival’s famous Disney topiaries, garden displays, and entertainment. Join us as we review Bauernmarkt to see if it lives up to its reputation as a deserving fan-favorite booth once again this year!

Menu
So, here’s the thing with Bauernmarkt… there aren’t a lot of changes at this booth. It is filled with fan-favorite dishes year after year. Potato Pancakes, Warm Cheese Strudel… and let’s not forget the Toasted Pretzel Bread topped with black forest ham and melted cheese!
The drinks? They’re classics, too, with options like the Apfelschaumwein cocktail and beers, including Bitburger Premium Pils, Stiegl Brewery Raspberry Radler, and Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier (each of which can be enjoyed on their own or in a Beer Flight).
So… can Bauernmarkt rest on its well-earned laurels once again? Let’s grab a fork, say “PROST,” and find out!
Eats
Aaah, the Potato Pancakes! These are topped with house-made apple sauce and are one of the plant-based items at this year’s Festival.
This dish is also eligible for a stamp if you’re attempting to complete the Garden Graze food crawl. It’s $5.25. They were fairly well-seasoned, but we found them to be super chewy and cold. The applesauce was not warm (but we wish it was!), and overall, this was not as great as it has been in past years. We were a little disappointed with this one, but we weren’t ready to give up quite yet!
It almost wouldn’t be the Flower & Garden Festival without the Toasted Pretzel Bread! You can grab it for $6.
The bread is topped with black forest ham… but what really gets us is the sight of that gooey, melted cheese! The cheese is a combination of melted shredded cheese and gooey fondue. YUM! Cheese and bread? That’s it. That’s all we need in life. This dish is cheesy. It’s delicious. The ham is moist and has a nice texture. The bread is perfectly baked. Yeah, this is a TOTAL winner in our book!
How about something sweet? The Warm Cheese Strudel, which is $4.75, is plated with a berry compote.
Our dish was NOT served warm, but the strudel was light and flaky, and the mixed berries on top added a bright fruitiness and nice, tart burst of flavor. This one was fine; not the best, but just okay. Would we get it again? Yes! And to go along with your dishes…
Drinks
Raise a glass of Apfelschaumwein!
Apple sparkling wine and apple liqueur come together for this sweet cocktail, which costs $10.50.
Think of this drink like a boozy apple juice — with an emphasis on the apple! It’s enjoyable, though, and is something a bit more unique.
Rather have a beer? Well, you’re in the right place. The options are the returning Bitburger Premium Pils, Stiegl Brewery Raspberry Radler, and the Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier. These are each priced at $5.75 for a 6 ounce pour, or $9.75 for a 12 ounce pour. Of course, you can always partake of all three in the Beer Flight for $10.25!
Of the three, as you might anticipate, the Radler is the most unique and more along the lines of a cider: fruity and sweet.
OVERALL
This booth isn’t super innovative or new. But you know what? It does its job. We can’t complain about cheese and bread, after all. The dessert is fruity and fun; there are plenty of drinks to choose from. Yeah, there’s something for just about anyone here! But we do have one word of warning: good luck finding a place to EAT! The tables in the Germany Pavilion are few and far between, so it may take some time to snag a table. For now, we must say “Auf Wiedersehen” from Bauernmarkt! But there’s plenty more where this came from…
