Y’all… we are truly SPEECHLESS right now.
We have been to Disney World more times than we can count. We have learned SO MANY things about the parks over the years, and we thought we knew almost everything there was to know (silly us). However, we recently learned one thing on a recent visit to Disney Springs, and… we are upset. Since then, we’ve been asking ourselves how we even got to this point and are questioning our sanity (okay, maybe that’s dramatic). Since we learned this fact, we thought we needed to share it with y’all so you can also be in the know.
Picture this: It is a sunny day at Disney Springs. There is a light breeze, and it’s the perfect temperature outside. You just walked out of World of Disney, and are admiring the LEGO displays outside the LEGO store. You wander over to the lake to check out the LEGO dragon in the lake… when all of a sudden, your world changes FOREVER.
Now, we’re sure you’re wondering how this LEGO dragon fits into the upsetting thing that changed our lives forever. Unfortunately, he is the cause of our anguish. Deep down, under the water… this dragon is DISEMBODIED.
That’s right! Underneath that waterline is just a base holding his neck up… not the rest of his body. Somehow we REALLY thought that underneath that water, the dragon’s body just continued and eventually came up out of the water again. Please, excuse us for a moment. Reliving this experience has been a hard moment for us.
Honestly, we’re not even sure why we thought that his body continued under the water since that doesn’t make the most sense, but here we are. When our reporter discovered this, most of us were SHOOK. Of course, we had a few team members who knew about this already and could laugh at our shock (and we love them anyway).
What is most shocking is how many of us had NO IDEA that this was a thing. We truly didn’t know that this LEGO dragon was disembodied, but knowing that also answers a lot of our questions — like, how do they upkeep those LEGOs underwater? Newsflash DFB team, they don’t.
Well, regardless of how much sense it made that this dragon had a body under all of that water, we were still shocked and lowkey upset about it. It took us a minute to gather ourselves, but now it’s something fun to laugh about (seriously, how did we NOT know?!). We hope that after your initial shock, you got a laugh out of it, too.
We’re always on the lookout for fun things like this to share with y’all, so keep checking back in with us at DFB to see what we find next!

If the water gets extremely low, occasionally the end of each segment of the dragon can be seen above the water line. I’ve seen it happen twice many years ago.
