If you love all things Disney World and Disney FOOD, then there’s a good chance you’ve considered the Disney Dining Plan for your vacations. And we’ve got some SERIOUSLY good news that’s gonna save you some CASH!
With the Disney Dining Plan, it can be EASIER to budget out all the theme park foods your heart desires. Disney has set up two versions of the Disney Dining Plan for different budgets and dining tastes. Plans are an optional add-on to your Disney World trip (including a stay at a Disney owned-and-operated hotel), so that all you have to do when you get to Disney World is head to one of the participating restaurants and scan your MagicBand or Disney MagicMobile pass.
Well…what if we told you that there’s a way you can snag your dining plan FOR FREE?
Disney Visa Cardmembers can score a FREE Disney Dining Plan when they book a non-discounted 4-night/4-day stay with The Walt Disney Travel Company at Disney World starting…NOW.
Those staying at value and moderate hotels who purchase Park Hopper tickets will get a free Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan while those staying at deluxe hotels who purchase Park Hopper tickets will get a free Disney Dining Plan.
For the Quick-Service Dining Plan, everyone in the party older than 3 receives two quick service meals and one snack per night of stay, plus a resort refillable mug. For the Disney Dining Plan, everyone 3 and up will receive a quick service meal, table service meal, and a snack per night of stay, plus a resort refillable mug.
To book the deal, Disney Visa Cardmembers must use their Disney Visa Card to purchase a non-discounted 4-night, 4-day (or longer) Walt Disney Travel Company package that includes a room at a select Disney Resort hotel and a theme park ticket with a Park Hopper option—for arrivals most nights from:
- July 1 to July 31, 2024
- September 1 to September 7, 2024
- December 9 to December 21, 2024
The number of packages allocated for this offer is limited. Disney Visa Cardmember must stay in the room, and everyone in the same room must be on the same package. The offer excludes select room types.

To receive the FREE DISNEY DINING PLAN you must purchase a NONE DISCOUNT FOUR OR MORE DAY STAY AT A DISNEY VALUE OR DELUXE HOTEL PLUS PARK HOPPER TICKETS. Gigi, Disney give’s nothing away for free. Gigi please explain to me how the savings on the FREE DINING PLAN SAVES ME MORE MONEY THAN THE INCREASED COST FOR HOTEL AND THE PARK HOPPER TICKETS. Thanks Gigi. Ron

NON DISCOUNT
DFB Gigi says
Hi Ron,
You make a very valid point, the Free Dining Plan isn’t always the best discount for everyone. It can really rack up some great savings with families traveling with 4-5 people, but solo travelers or couples will likely save more money in the long run with a room discount instead of Free Dining. There are so many factors to consider that are all dependent on how YOU vacation, that we always advise our readers and community to do the math themselves for their ideal vacation to see where they can save the most!

Good afternoon. We are already heading to WDW (the Beach Club Villas specifically) from 7/27-8/4. We are DVC members and I already purchased the Dining Plan. Are we eligible for this offer? Thank you for your help!

Will it still be free if you stay on dvc points?
DFB Gigi says
Hi Ted! You will need to contact Disney or your travel planner to see if this deal can be added to your current reservation.
Shire says
DVC Members get nothing again – You are not eligible for the free Dining plan if you book your stay with your DVC points – you have to pay the “non-discounted, discounted package price” of the resort and park hopper tickets to get the free dining plan.
If you are planning on going and staying at a moderate or deluxe resort and using the park hopper option – this is an awesome freebie to take advantage of – just apply for the Disney Visa, and who cares if you use it after the trip or not. All things considered that’s a pretty good perk for applying for a credit card – way better than a thermos, or 20,000 miles (worth about $200 or less depending on the card).
It’s really a shame though that it doesn’t apply to DVC members – but Disney already has their money so I guess they know they have them right where they need them. No perks for DVC.

Is there a way to apply for the Visa card and still get the free dining deal immediately?
Barry says
For this deal do I have to just book the deal with my Disney Visa and the can I pay it off another way or do I have to pay for it all using my Disney Visa? Trying to understand. Thanks.
DFB Gigi says
Hi Barry! I didn’t see them state anywhere one way or the other so your best bet might be to reach out to them directly to see what they allow.

Disney has done a few things dirty. Like making you upgrade your tickets to get the offer. (I never park hop so it’s a waste). But I painstakingly added up all of the meals I would be purchasing since the prices of all food is now on My Disney Experience, and even with the upgrade in tickets. You are saving 800-1200 dollars which us much better than a room only discount and buying your food. Disney is expensive, always has been, always will be. Disney shareholder meeting actually stated they’d prefer lower attendance will Platinum Credit card owners , than peak attendance with everyone. I think the quote was , when the crowds are lower, people tend to spend more money and enjoy themselves more. This is NOT a new practice, Thank you Eisner for at least admitting you were complicit.
