Attention, Disney World visitors! We have an important announcement that may impact your upcoming plans. You’re going to want to hear this, so listen up.

Magic Kingdom
Every once in a while, a Disney World park closes EXTRA early. We’re talking before sunset! Now, if you’re like us and prefer to hit the parks in the late afternoon and evening, an early park closure could seriously throw off your plans — especially if you didn’t pay for a park hopper theme park ticket! Should you AVOID the Magic Kingdom tomorrow, June 21st? Let’s talk about it.
According to the Disney World park calendar, Magic Kingdom is closing at 7PM on June 21st, 2024.

Magic Kingdom
This means that you won’t be able to see Happily Ever After (the park closes before sunset at 8:15PM). These early closures often happen to accommodate private events or Cast Member celebrations. It’s the reason we ALWAYS suggest checking the Disney World calendar before your trip!

You don’t want to get kicked out EARLY!
If you don’t have a park hopper ticket, you might not want to waste a visit to Magic Kingdom on a day when the park closes so early! You’d be missing out on several hours’ worth of park time! On the other hand, if you DO have a park hopper ticket, we predict that the Magic Kingdom crowds will be a little smaller on this day, as most people will prioritize a park with longer operating hours. So, if you can head to another park AFTER Magic Kingdom closes, you might get lucky and find some lower wait times!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Oh, and speaking of early closures and canceled fireworks shows, we’ve got one more to point out! There are two upcoming dates in early July when you will NOT be able to watch the Happily Ever After fireworks in Magic Kingdom.

The good news is that you can instead catch a RARE fireworks display just in time for a MAJOR holiday!
