Happy 4th of July, DFB readers!!!
It’s a special day in Disney World. The red, white, and blue decorations are EVERYWHERE, from buildings on Main Street, U.S.A., to snacks (so many red, white, and blue snacks, y’all), to the skies. Yes, even the skies are feeling patriotic Disney World over the next few days. We’re talking about the special 4th of July fireworks that happen exclusively in Magic Kingdom in July. Come with us as we check out this exclusive nighttime show.
The 4th of July fireworks only happen twice each year on July 3rd and 4th, so if you have a chance to catch the show, you’re seeing something VERY special. So what is the show like? Well, we made our way to Magic Kingdom to check it out on July 3rd — come with us to check it out!
This exclusive nighttime show is called “Disney’s Celebrate America — A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky.” It’s also super popular for those visiting Disney World during this time, meaning there were a LOT of people watching the fireworks with us on the 3rd. If you are planning on catching the show tonight, July 4th, just make sure you plan ahead and stake out a spot early.
Before the fireworks start, there is a huge party with music, a DJ on the castle stage, and more.

Even the trees and foliage in Magic Kingdom are lit up to be red, white, and blue.
The show itself features a lot of awesome effects on and near the castle. There are projections, smaller fireworks, larger fireworks, and smoke effects. It’s EPIC.
We can’t imagine celebrating the 4th of July without a big fireworks show, and this one certainly delivers.
Of course, you’ll hear a lot of patriotic songs during the show, too, like “America the Beautiful.”
