Disney dining is basically our entire life.

Mickey Pretzel
It’s literally in our name! Eating at Disney World is our bread and butter. It’s why we spend our time creating the ultimate guides to Disney restaurants, the best dishes, and the Disney Dining Plan! Through all of this food testing and guide writing though, we’ve noticed one glaring problem with Disney World breakfast.
So you’re heading to Disney World, you’ve planned it meticulously, and you rope-dropped your favorite theme park. This is a dream day in our book with the cherry on top being a delicious Disney breakfast right after you get off the most popular rides with little to no wait.

Full breakfast spread at Satu’li Canteen
There are tons of great breakfast options in each park like Satu’li Canteen’s entire breakfast menu, the breakfast Ronto wrap, and early morning tatchos. The main problem in our eyes is that these items are only available for limited times during the day!

Ronto Morning Wrap
We are breakfast people! Disney have you never heard of breakfast for dinner? Breakfast for lunch? We find it deeply important that we can get a breakfast Ronto Wrap at any time during the day because some of our team actually prefers it over the regular wrap.

Breakfast at the Cake Bake Shop
When we are craving chocolate chip waffles from the Cake Bake Shop, who are we to be denied our cravings? Breakfast at Disney World ends at varying times but typically you can expect most quick services to end around 10:30 AM and some table-service restaurants around 11:00 AM.

Steakhouse 71 Breakfast
If you’re a breakfast fan like us, make sure you double-check what time breakfast ends at each restaurant before booking a meal. We made the grave mistake once of booking a 12 PM O’hana reservation desperately excited for noodles and chicken wings only to find out from our waiter that breakfast at O’hana doesn’t end until 12:15. This is the reverse of today’s topic but you get the idea. It was tough to change our cravings in the moment.

Breakfast Skillets at ‘Ohana are delicious
We just want to know Disney, why can’t we at least get the Garden Grill or Whispering Canyon breakfast skillets later in the day? We think the people are demanding change. (It’s us, we’re the people.)

Breakfast at Garden Grill
Wouldn’t a Mickey Waffle taste just as sweet at 2 PM as it does at 8 AM? We also think Disney needs to consider the fact that while many people love the taste of breakfast but, for whatever reason, can’t grab it before 10:30 AM.

Chicken-Stuffed Mickey Waffle at Coronado Springs
Maybe it’s the fourth day of your Disney trip and you just need to sleep a bit. You still deserve a Mickey Waffle to snack on! We have been in a position where rope drop is going so well we don’t want to miss out on rides so we’ve missed out on delicious breakfasts forcing us to eat a Cosmic Ray’s Burger at 10:35 AM.

A breakfast biscuit from Westward Ho in Magic Kingdom
For now, our only option to bridge the gap is brunch in Disney World. Not every restaurant does brunch and some only offer it on the weekends but if you can snag a brunch reservation, we highly encourage it. We did make the ultimate guide to the best brunch in Disney World to make this a bit easier on your trip planning. There are also waffles at Sleepy Hollow in Magic Kingdom if you’re looking for something a bit more chill but they haven’t been our favorites since the changes last year.

Brunch at Wine Bar George
So Disney this is us pleading, give us just a few all-day breakfast options! And no, dry cereal and granola bars don’t count. We want a warm Mickey waffle or breakfast skillet at all operating hours, please. We’re asking extra nicely! Don’t forget to keep following DFB for all of your Disney food news and updates.

Disney is awash in Italian places to eat, burger spots, etc. but what they really need is a diner or two that serves breakfast all day! One at Disney Springs so you don’t need a park ticket, another perhaps at a resort or a park that is lacking in good dining, like the Studios. Imagine being able to order an omelet or Mickey waffles with fruit on the side for dinner after you’ve had a big sit- down lunch. I’m originally from New Jersey so I love diners that are open 24 hours or at least quite late, which would be a huge benefit for many WDW guests.
