The EPCOT Festival of the Arts is coming to a close on February 24th, but there are still a few days to soak up everything the event has to offer!
This is one of our favorite EPCOT festivals because not only is the food incredible, but it’s so interactive with spin art, a massive paint-by-number mural that you can help complete, the new Disney on Broadway exhibit, live performances, and so much more. Speaking of live performances, one of the highlights in EPCOT right now is the Disney on Broadway concert series and while we were visiting on February 18th, 2025, there was a special surprise!
The Disney on Broadway Concert Series happens at night throughout the festival and features a rotation of performers who have been in Disney shows on Broadway! On February 18th, we came to watch the incredible Rodney Ingram from “Aladdin” and Kara Lindsay from “Newsies” sing.
But during the show, Rodney Ingram announced that there was a surprise for Kara…and he was right! A few of the Newsies boys came out to surprise her!

They started in the audience with microphones and slowly made their way to the center where they reunited with Kara Lindsay.
This was such a heartwarming moment! Check out part of the performance below:

After a lively performance of “King of New York”, Kara and Adam Kaplan, one of the surprise Newsies boys who understudied Jack Kelly on Broadway, sang “Something to Believe In”. Awwwww!
