We have several former Disney Cast Members on the DFB team, and they’re dishing on some of the secret requirements of working at Disney World.
Being a Disney World Cast Member comes with a long set of rules and regulations, including some specific dress codes. These codes can be based on specific roles and locations, but they exist, nevertheless. The former Cast Members on our team revealed what kind of shoes they were required to wear, and, as it turns out, we can see ourselves — and maybe even YOU –looking to buy a pair!
According to our team, the shoe requirements could get super strict, especially about logos, contrast stitching, piping, and color. The main rule is that shoes usually have to be all one color with no logos, and usually in white or black (some places allow brown boots). Food service locations require shoes to be non-slip. When you’re working on difficult surfaces that can be slippery or rough like sandpaper, shoe type matters significantly.
One of our team members said they wore all-black HOKA Bond sneakers and still swears by them!
The HOKA Bondi 9 Sneakers are available on Amazon in a few different style/color choices — including black! While they do have a logo, it is faded in, making this shoe pretty inconspicuous — which is ideal if you’re going for that look.
Durable and built for lots of walking, standing, and physical activity, they’re perfect for Disney Park days or anything that requires strong foot support.
These shoes also include extra cushioning, providing tons of support. Some fans of the shoe note that walking in them feels like “walking on pillows!” You can pick up a pair in your size TODAY on Amazon!
