Okay, so you’re planning a trip to Disney World, and you’ve figured out the basics like how long you’re staying, where you’re staying, what tickets you need, and where to eat (the MOST important thing, right?). But exactly how are you getting to Disney World? It’s a big decision — and often NOT cheap.
For most of us, that means flying into Orlando International Airport, and if that’s your plan, it just got a little easier from two cities because Southwest Airlines has just added two nonstop flights to Orlando.
If you need to book a flight for a 2026 trip, Orlando International Airport just announced that Southwest Airlines will start offering nonstop service beginning on June 6th, 2026, to Little Rock, AR, and Wichita, KS. So if you live near those airports, you have a new option for getting to Disney World!
Southwest Airlines already offers a ton of flights to and from Orlando, so this should come as good news for those who prefer to fly Southwest. Keep in mind, though, that once you get to Orlando, you’ll need to figure out how to get to Disney World from the airport. This is easy, though! You can use a shared shuttle service like Mears Connect (my personal favorite way to get to Disney World), use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft, or rent a car.
Once you get to your Disney World hotel, though, getting around is super easy. Disney World has a free transportation system that includes buses, the Skyliner, the Monorail, and boats. So you don’t have to worry about getting to the parks or to Disney Springs! Yay for free transportation, right?!
