We are only slightly freaking out over here (okay, we are actually freaking out a lot!), but the tea room is officially reopening at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa! While we already knew it was reopening in early 2026, Disney just announced an OFFICIAL reopening date, so it is becoming more real, and we are SO excited.
The Garden View Lounge — Tea Experience will be reopening on March 19th, 2026 (reservations will open on February 19th, so mark your calendars now!). Disney just shared a first look at what to expect, including a look at the new menu!
The Garden View Lounge has been closed since the COVID-19 pandemic, but it will soon welcome guests once again! This was a popular experience, and we have been waiting a long time for it to return. The Garden View Lounge will feature new touches inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Let’s take a peek at the new menu!
Drinks
The tea is one of the most important parts of a tea room experience, and Disney is partnering with Twinings to select premium tea blends for the experience. There will be a variety of Twining Loose Leaf Tea Selections, including London Strand Breakfast, Spicy Chai, Nutty Chocolate Flavoured Assam black tea, and the caffeine-free Blackcurrant and Lavender herbal tea. There will also be a Disney World exclusive flavor called Orangery of Lady Grey. It is a unique black tea featuring bright, orange notes.
You will select your tea with guidance from Cast Members and create a tea customized for you. You will choose an aromatic to accompany the tea, which is added during steeping, and then decide whether to add a sweetener.
Tea isn’t the only option for beverages, though! You can also choose from two signature tea-based cocktails. First up, the Mint Tulip featuring Old Forester 1870 Original Batch Kentucky Straight Whiskey, Twinings Refreshers Peach Mango Tea Instant Beverage, and mint.
Or, you can grab the Mar-TEA-ni with Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin, Twinings Earl Grey Tea, lemon, and honey.
There will also be non-alcoholic specialty teas available! You can grab the Curiosi-TEA with Twinings Refreshers Strawberry Raspberry Herbal Tea Instant Beverage with a touch of shimmering magic.
You can also grab the This Way, That Way with Twinings Refreshers Peach Mango Tea, Herbal Tea Instant Beverage, and mint.
Plus, you can also enjoy champagne and sparkling wines!
Eats
Of course, you will want some food to enjoy alongside your beverage! The Garden View Lounge — Tea Experience will also feature a variety of sweet and savory eats! You can enjoy the Orange-Cranberry Scone with traditional accoutrements.
Plus, you will be able to savor three tiers of food. The savory selections include:
- Curried Chicken Salad Playing Card Tart: Savory curried chicken salad filling topped with cherry gelée
- Footman’s Feast: Wonderland Salmon Crisp with a salmon rillette on a miso brown butter crisp
- Tweedledee Egg Salad Sandwich: A traditional egg salad on beet bread
- Caterpillar Cucumber Roll: A delicious combination with butterfly pea-infused cream cheese and cucumbers on pumpernickel
The sweet selections include:
- The Matcha Mad Hatter: Sponge cake with apricot jam and yuzu buttercream
- Tea Party Tart: Vanilla tart, coffee custard, and chantilly cream
- Flamingo Croquet Choux filled with passion fruit cream and a raspberry crunch
- Painting the Rose: Earl Grey-flavored teacake painted tableside
We are loving all the colors and the fun nods to Alice in Wonderland! There will also be afternoon tea selections for those looking for plant-based options. If you are looking to add a bit more delight to your afternoon tea, there will also be two enhancements. First, there will be a Seasonal Cheese Selection.
You can also get the Royal Osetra Caviar with Mini Chive Biscuits and Traditional Accompaniments.
That’s not all! There will also be a Children’s Afternoon Tea featuring adorably delicious bites, including savory minis like the Queen of Hearts Cheese Toastie, a Fanciful Turkey Wrap, and a Sunflower Seed Butter and Jelly Bun. For dessert, there will be a Cheshire Cat Raspberry Macaron, the Chocolate Brownie Branch, and a vanilla White Rabbit Cupcake.
We can’t wait to step back inside the Garden View Lounge and enjoy some afternoon tea! Don’t forget: the restaurant reopens on March 19th, with reservations opening on February 19th! We can’t wait! We are always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned to DFB for even more.
