It’s finally time! Zootopia 2 will stream on Disney+ this month on March 11th!

Starting next week, the film will be available on the small screen for every Disney+ subscriber worldwide.
A sequel to the original 2016 film, Zootopia 2 returns to the bustling animalistic metropolis, where rabbit police officer Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and fox con artist Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) put their partnership to the test as they uncover the city’s secret reptile community. It introduced the franchise’s newest iconic character, mysterious pit viper Gary De’Snake (Key Huy Quan).

The sequel welcomed some new characters with celebrity cameos, including Nibbles Maplestick (Fortune Feimster), Pawbert Lynxley (Andy Samberg), Milton Lynxley (David Strathairn), Cattrick Lynxley (Macaulay Culkin), Kitt Lynxley (Brenda Song), Dr. Fuzzby (Quinta Brunson), Robert Furwin (Robert Irwin), and Brian Winddancer (Patrick Warburton).

The film is directed by Disney’s Chief Creative Officer, Jared Bush, who previously directed the original Zootopia (2016) and Encanto. It was co-directed by Byron Howard of Zootopia (2016), Encanto, Tangled, and Bolt.

The sequel made box office history on its opening weekend with the fourth-biggest global opening of all time. This marks the largest global opening for an animated film and the highest ever for an animated sequel. It grossed a total of $1.46 billion at the global box office, becoming both the highest-grossing Disney movie in history and the highest-grossing animated domestic release of all time. The film was the biggest earning movie for 2025, earning $1.425 billion internationally and $1.85 billion worldwide.
