So Disney has a pretty good relationship with Taylor Swift. Two versions of the Eras Tour are currently available on Disney+, and there’s even an Eras Tour documentary you can watch on the streaming subscription service. So if Disney teamed up with Taylor Swift for something else, we wouldn’t be that surprised, right?
Well, not too long ago, a countdown appeared on Taylor Swift’s website with a background that looked an awful lot like something from Toy Story (the clouds). But then that countdown disappeared before it could officially count down anything. Then…crickets. But now…well, Pixar just opened that barrel of monkeys ALL over again by teasing Taylor Swift on its social media accounts.
On May 1st, a countdown appeared on the Taylor Swift website that had a background that looked like the Toy Story clouds. The countdown led to May 2nd. But before the countdown could finish, it was swiftly (see what we did there?) taken down. But not before fans began to speculate that Taylor Swift had something to do with Toy Story 5, which releases in theaters on June 19th.

Now, Pixar has posted something VERY Taylor Swift-coded to its social media accounts. It shows Jessie dancing in front of a billboard with “TS” on it, which we’re guessing refers to Taylor Swift. The caption? “She’s making those moves up as she goes!” This is a line from Swift’s hit “Shake it Off.” However, there’s no music in the video, which is very interesting…
So what does this all mean? Well, Swifties know that our girl, Taylor, never does anything accidentally or without some kind of hint. She’s a “Mastermind” (oops, did it there again) when it comes to teasing fans with big announcements. So, should we guess that this is further proof that Swift will have a song on the Toy Story 5 soundtrack? Well, we don’t know because all we’ve got so far are these teasers. GRR!
Needless to say, Swifties are going to be paying careful attention to any Toy Story 5 announcements that are made before the movie’s release date. We’re going to keep an eye out for more, so stay tuned to DFB to stay updated.
