Actress Daveigh Chase, who was the voice behind Lilo in Disney’s animated Lilo & Stitch has passed away at the age of 35.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chase had been suffering from meningitis, which led to a blood infection that eventually led to sepsis.
Chase was known for voicing the character of Lilo in Lilo & Stitch, which earned her an Annie award for voice acting in 2002. That same year, she also starred as Samara Morgan in the 2002 horror film The Ring, which earned her an MTV Movie Award for best villain. Both roles also received nominations at the Phoenix Film Critics Society Awards.
Chase’s other work included roles in Donnie Darko, Big Love, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, ER, Mercy, and Beethoven’s 5th. Her last acting role was in 2016 for the video game Let It Die.
