Uh oh…a popular Disney World restaurant is getting hit with a closure very soon! While we always hate to see restaurant closures pop up around the parks and resorts, they’re usually necessary — and sometimes it even means a new look or new menu is on the way.
United Kingdom pavilion
Now that Disney has shared all of the price increases, you’ve probably started planning for your 2027 Disney World vacation. You’ve maybe even started booking those dining experiences now that you know what the new prices are. Well, you’re going to want to know about a closure that’s hitting EPCOT!
EPCOT’s Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room which you’ll find in the United Kingdom pavilion at World Showcase, will enter refurbishment next year. The refurb will begin January 11th, 2027, and it is expected to remain closed until later in 2027. There is no official reopening date as of right now.
Rose & Crown
Rose & Crown is one of EPCOT’s more popular table-service restaurant options. There, you’ll be served British pub-style food and beautiful views of the World Showcase and World Showcase Lagoon. Disney also hasn’t announced any details on what the refurbishment will involve. The attached Pub has become a cult favorite spot for grabbing a pint in the World Showcase, and we know many folks will miss it during its closure.
Rose & Crown
Speaking of changes at EPCOT, there are some more on the way. Crazy enough, EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival is getting closer and closer to wrapping up. Doesn’t it feel like it just started?! In fact, the festival JUST added India, The Alps, Earth Eats, and Coastal Eats booths recently. The festival will come to an end on November 21st.
Crab Cake
After Food and Wine wraps up, EPCOT will welcome the International Festival of the Holidays, which begins on November 27th. The festival will bring holiday traditions from all around the world (showcase) to guests through decorations, stories, music, cuisine, and additional special events.

The Rose & Crown Dining Room is closing, but will the Pub remain open?
Perhaps, when it reopens, it will resume serving lunch. Will the pub close, too?
With all the closures, it would just bea lot easier if Disney would just shut down altogether until they completely destroy, demolish and remake everything.
At least the guests then, would have more for their money than construction walls.
