A popular Disney Springs dessert shop is turning 10 years old! While Gideon’s Bakehouse only opened its Disney Springs location in 2021, the local chain started in 2016 at East End Market.

So to celebrate the special anniversary, Gideon’s Bakehouse is having some limited-edition baked goods and merch available exclusively at its East End location on Sunday, July 19th!

The owner of Gideon’s Bakehouse, Steve Lewis, took to the bakery’s social media accounts to announce the heartfelt anniversary. “This Sunday at 10am we’ll be celebrating 10 years of Gideon’s making its first public appearance. If you know the story, after selling cookies out of my kitchen for 8 years, I had my first pop-up at the East End Market on 7/19/2016 and never left! I was working at the mall and trying to pull myself out of the long struggle from losing everything, and East End saved me. The community around East End supported me. And because of you, Gideon’s sparkled from the shadows. We have stayed local, turning down every offer to nationalize. I’m still a single-owner with no investors. We’ve grown to a 200+ team. We’ve raised funds for cats, bats, turtles, owls, sharks, bees, and wolves. We’ve weathered pandemics, egg prices, hurricanes. It’s been a ride that has brought so many laughs and tears.”

To commemorate the tenth anniversary of Gideon’s Bakehouse, an exclusive cake slice will be featured on the menu only at the East End Market location on Sunday, July 19th! The Holy Trinity Cake is made with a layer of chocolate cake, a layer of Lewis’ family cheesecake, and a layer of cookie cake, covered in marshmallow buttercream.

But that’s not all – the East End Market location will offer the following merch available exclusively on Sunday, July 19th:

• Gideon’s 10th Anniversary Oversized Pin
  • Limit of two per person
• Gideon’s 10th Anniversary T-shirt
• Mugs by Amber, with many to choose from
  • Limit of one per person

All of these items are only available at East End this Sunday. If any merch is left over, it will be sold online later in the week on the Gideon’s Bakehouse website. Additionally, Steve Lewis, the owner of Gideon’s Bakehouse, will be at the East End location until 10 AM on Sunday.
