Marvel fans have a lot to be excited about at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event this weekend, a biannual expo where Disney announces tons of major news on upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe films.

Marvel has tons of fans excited for their upcoming movies, with a stacked lineup between Avengers: Doomsday, Avengers: Secret Wars, and Black Panther 3, but there’s one new movie that fans are just waiting for news on!

Marvel announced they’re rebooting the X-Men back in 2023, and the upcoming film slated for a 2028 release will follow the group of superheroes in their youth. It was revealed in Spider-Man: Brand New Day that Stranger Things actress Sadie Sink will now portray Jean Grey in future MCU projects, including the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars and X-Men. But what about the other four X-Men?

Deadline reported back in July that Emma Frost will be played by Samara Weaving of Ready or Not (2019). Frost is a telepathic Mutant who first appeared in X-Men comics in the 1980s and has evolved over the years, going from supervillain to a key member of the X-Men. Additionally, they reported that Kit Connor of Netflix’s Heartstopper is eyed to play Scott Summers, AKA X-Men captain Cyclops.

But after all of these major announcements, we still don’t know who the remaining X-Men in the film will be. Rumors circulating online include the characters Beast, Iceman, and Angel are involved in the film, but Marvel hasn’t yet revealed which characters will appear or who will play them. And what’s a better time to announce the cast list of the highly anticipated movie than at the biggest Disney movie event of the year?
