For over two decades, Pop Century has been one of the most popular – – and unique – – resort hotels at Walt Disney World. Themed to the evolving culture of the second half of the 20th century, the resort is divided by decades, with each section including iconic properties of their time, many of which aren’t owned by Disney (We’re likely never seeing that again). Over time, the hotel’s rooms have been progressively upgraded, including just recently.
Recently, we stayed at Pop Century to check out the latest updates to the Value Tier resort’s rooms. Come with us for a look!
Now, at first glance, Pop Century’s rooms still look very similar to what guests have become accustomed to over the last decade+.
However, there are definitely some differences, starting with the floors! The main floors have been redone, and a new patterned accent sits underneath the beds.
You did read “beds” correctly, by the way, as Pop Century’s rooms still feature one standard bed and a Murphy Bed.
Back to new additions, when the Murphy Bed is in its closed position, the chairs in front of it have been replaced by a new funky design.
There’s also a Mickey Mouse curtain on the room’s window…
… which features a pop art design.
In addition to these new accouterments, Pop Century’s rooms are home to Disney’s typical hotel room perks, including the Hey Disney! voice assistant…
… a beverage cooler and coffeemaker…
… (including coffee and tea options, of course)…
… and of course the bathroom…
… loaded with Disney toiletry products.
Pop Century has been one of Disney World’s most popular Value Tier Resorts for decades; the hotel’s rooms have once again been refreshed. Stay tuned to DFB for more on Disney World’s latest hotel room makeovers.

It’s been a while since we stayed at Pop, even though we love it. It’s good to see coffeemakers in the rooms – last time we stayed in a value resort, they didn’t have them. We even bought a portable coffee maker because the value resorts didn’t have them. It’s also nice to see a lean into Disney theming, as opposed to the theme-less rooms and resorts Disney has been prone to lately (although I think some previous designs were cuter).
4th stay @ Pop. One of my favorite resorts. Let’s get rid of the iron/board. Who irons on vacation? Come on Disney. Upgrade the beverage cooler to an Actual mini fridge. It’s the #1 complaint for value resorts.
More platform beds! Gee, what a surprise!😡
Love Pop Century and stayed many times. Just leave the iron & board, hate wearing wriggled clothes.
New room looks great and hope to be there in 2027.
YAY!!! Real, honest-to-god bath soap bars (rather than the extremely wasteful body wash, where half of it slides off your hands and down the drain)!
It’s nice to see body lotion back at value resorts! Last time we stayed at Pop, it wasn’t included and was not provided when we inquired.
