IMPORTANT UPDATE: Disney has announced that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will return for the 2022 Holiday Season! Disney Very Merriest After Hours is a new After Hours event which made its debut at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom for the 2021 Holiday Season!

This Magic Kingdom event requires a separate ticket for entry. In 2021, it was offered on select nights starting November 8, 2021 through December 21, 2021.

Once inside, guests enjoy plenty of festive fun and entertainment unique to the Disney Very Merriest After Hours! This includes a showing of Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, the new Mickey & Minnie’s Very Merry Memories stage show, and more! (Pssst… you may even spy Santa Claus!)

The event also features holiday treats, Disney characters around the park, and an extra-festive party atmosphere (including snow falling on Main Street, U.S.A.)! Select attractions — like the Jingle Cruise and Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor– offer a holiday overlay, too.

And guests can partake in ice cream novelties, popcorn, and select beverages and holiday treats — included with the price of admission. Specialty items are also available for additional purchase.

Disney After Hours events are limited capacity events that take place after normal park operating hours, so guests also enjoy low wait times for park attractions.

PLEASE NOTE: The Disney Very Merriest After Hours event replaced Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party for 2021. We will update this page when events for the 2022 Holiday Season are announced.

2021 Dates and Times

Disney Very Merriest After Hours runs on select nights starting November 8, 2021 through December 21, 2021! Disney Very Merriest After Hours events last for four hours after the park closes (from 9PM to 1AM), and the specific dates are as follows:

November: 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21, 23, 28, 30

December: 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, 19, 21

Ticket holders are able to enter Magic Kingdom Park as early as 7PM (which means guests have the potential see TWO fireworks spectaculars in one night). Guests do NOT require a day park ticket or Disney Park Pass theme park reservation — only a ticket for Disney Very Merriest After Hours is required.

2021 Prices

Tickets for adults and children range from $169 to $249, with prices varying by event date. For November dates, tickets range from $169 – $229. For most December nights, tickets range from $209 – $229. For December 19 and 21, tickets are $249.00. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members are eligible for a $10 discount on select event dates in November, as reflected below. Prices do not include tax.

2021 Ticket Information

Tickets went on sale to the general public on August 20, 2021. An early purchase window opened on August 17th to guests of Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green at Walt Disney World Resort.

Tickets are available for purchase on the Walt Disney World website or by calling (407) 939-7947.

Disney Vacation Club members have the opportunity to register for special fireworks viewing during Disney Very Merriest After Hours in December. An event ticket AND an RSVP for the area are required.

2021 Special Entertainment and Inclusions

Seasonal SNACKING!

Included with the cost of your ticket are a few free treats and snacks including complimentary popcorn, bottled drinks, and ice cream novelties at the snack carts all around the park.

Also, the Very Merriest After Hours offers free cookies and holiday beverages at stations all around Magic Kingdom.

Specialty food and beverage items are also available for extra purchase.

These include the Orange Bird Churro, Gingerbread Almond Cake Pop, and the Ginger Apple Funnel Cake. 

Event Entertainment

Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks is a true highlight of the event!

The Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade is a returning favorite… and continues to delight to this day.

The NEW Mickey & Minnie’s Very Merry Memories stage show presents beloved characters sharing nostalgic memories (including nods to Magic Kingdom shows of Christmas past)!

And don’t forget the magic of…

…SNOW falling on Main Street, U.S.A.! This festive fun falls intermittently throughout the night.

Additional entertainment includes the Club Tinsel Dance Party in Tomorrowland, and the Reindeer Wranglers in Frontierland.
