Happy holidays everybody! Tonight is the first night of Magic Kingdom’s Very Merriest After Hours, a ticketed event featuring exclusive entertainment, food, and more.
Tonight also marks the return of parades at Disney World (we have only had cavalcades since the closure) with Very Merry After Hours’ exclusive parade, the Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade!
People were gathered up to see the holiday parade, with “snoap” (that’s what we call the fake snow made out of soap) falling over Main Street, U.S.A. as we waited.
It isn’t a Disney parade without the big cheeses themselves, Mickey and Minnie Mouse! As the holiday tunes were playing, we were all greeted by the two iconic characters.

Next, we saw the Toy Story float, which had characters like Woody and Jessie on it! It was nice to see those big parade floats again, even if it was just for this after-hours event.
Aurora, Jasmine, and other princesses were rocking their cozy winter outfits! Plus, the float matches perfectly with Cinderella Castle’s 50th Anniversary look.
Speaking of Cinderella, she’s here too with her Fairy Godmother! The characters were plentiful at this parade and the holiday spirit was definitely there.
Plus, the parade saw the return of holiday classics like the Toy Soldiers! It’s nice to see these guys marching around Magic Kingdom again.

And of course, Santa finished out the parade, complete with a big bag of toys and a gorgeous float!

Disney parade returns (no masks, no vaxx, everybody crammed in) are irresponsible Covid super spreader events!
