runDisney hosts several race weekend events throughout the year, with distances ranging from 5Ks to full marathons (and runners and walkers can participate in more than one, if you’re feeling a little goofy or dopey… 😉 ).

There are even distances just for kids to participate in these weekend-long events, which are complete with Health and Fitness Expos, fantastic race bling (MEDALS!!), Disney CHARACTERS along the race courses, and SO much more! (There are even virtual race options for those who can’t make it to Walt Disney World for an event.)

Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend

The Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend takes place from November 4 – 7, 2021 as part of the 2021 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival. This year’s fall theme is Wickedly Delicious, inspired by those dastardly Disney Villains!

The following races will make up the Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend:

• Wickedly Delicious Wine & Dine Half Marathon — November 7, 2021
• Wine & Dine 10K — November 6, 2021
• Wine & Dine 5K — November 5, 2021

Participants may also opt to take part in the Disney Two Course Challenge by participating in both the Wine & Dine 10K on Saturday with the Wine & Dine Half Marathon on Sunday for a total of 19.3 miles (and you’ll receive an EXTRA medal for your efforts)! Virtual Races are also available for all distances and the Challenge.

General registration opened on July 13, 2021 via runDisney.com.

Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

The Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend will take place from January 5 – 9, 2022. This one is all about celebrating Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary!

The following races will make up the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend:

• Walt Disney World Marathon — January 9, 2022
• Walt Disney World Half Marathon — January 8, 2022
• Walt Disney World 10K — January 7, 2022
• Walt Disney World 5K — January 6, 2022

Participants may also opt to take part in Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge by participating in both the Walt Disney World Half Marathon on Saturday AND the Walt Disney World Marathon on Sunday for a total of 39.3 miles (and you’ll receive an EXTRA medal for your efforts), or the Dopey Challenge whereby guests participate in ALL FOUR RACES for a total of 48.6 miles! (Yep, you’ll get an extra medal for that one, too, PLUS the Goofy’s Challenge medal.) Virtual Races are also available for all distances and both Challenges.

Registration for this event began on July 20, 2021 for Club runDisney Gold & Platinum Members, with general registration opening up on July 27th via runDisney.com. Those who wish to participate in the virtual component could sign up as of July 30th.

Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend

The Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend is scheduled for February 24 – 27, 2022.

The following races and events will make up the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend:

• Disney Princess Half Marathon — February 27, 2022
• Disney Princess Enchanted 10K — February 26, 2022
• Disney Princess 5K — February 25, 2022
• Disney Princess Sunrise Yoga — February 24, 2022

Participants may also opt to take part in the Disney Fairy Tale Challenge by participating in both the Princess Enchanted 10K on Saturday and the Disney Princess Half Marathon on Sunday for a total of 19.3 miles (and you’ll receive an EXTRA medal for your efforts)! Virtual Races are also available for all distances and the Challenge.

Registration opened up on August 17, 2021 for Club runDisney Gold & Platinum members, August 24th for general participants, and August 27th for virtual participants via runDisney.com.

Springtime Surprise Weekend

Making its debut in 2022, the Springtime Surprise Weekend will take place from March 31 – April 3, 2022. Disney promises a “completely different experience” every year for this NEW event!

runDisney Virtual Series

The 2021 runDisney Virtual Series celebrates The Lion King! The event, which is running from June 1 – August 31, 2021, has 3 different 5K races, each themed to a different adaptation of the tale.
