It hasn’t been a great year for travel, including flying. Airlines have been struggling due to rising fuel costs, which have resulted in them making some pretty hard decisions, including raising prices for services like checked bags. One airline even went completely out of business.
However, many airlines have felt the need to cut flight routes to save some money. In February, Frontier Airlines cut flights to 10 cities. American Airlines cut six routes in June. Delta has also followed suit by cutting some of its flights. Now, according to AFAR, American Airlines has removed thousands of flights from its schedule.
