Bring “it’s a small world” Into Your Kitchen!

Another fun cookbook is being released by Disney, and this one pays homage to the classic ride, it’s a small world! There are also two companion books available — a sticker activity book and an illustrated book about the happiest cruise that ever sailed!

Feed Our Small World: A Cookbook for Kids will be released on August 16, 2011, by Disney Press, along with a companion picture book. This hardcover cookbook will contain 64 pages of international recipes geared to ages 4-8, and the easy directions will be enhanced with cooking tips and colorful photos of each dish.

Your kitchen can become a magical wonderland filled with the sights and sounds of multi-cultural dishes such as French quiche, Indian chicken curry, Indonesian beef satay, and Scottish shortbread!

Waiting for the oven to preheat? Kids can read cultural facts that will fascinate them even before tasting their creations!

Fun. My niece is a little old for this one (she’s 11). I bought her two of Emeril’s cookbooks for kids. One of them I got autographed when he was visiting the local mall. She loves to cook. My friends’ kids are either too young or two old. I’ll have to keep this in mind for when the younger ones get a little older.

JoAnn — Awesome! I bet those Emeril books are fantastic!

Kathy — Let us know if you get to try it out!

Awesome! We will definitely order this. My kids enjoy cooking, and we have a library of kids cookbooks. This Disney one is a must-have for us!

And, we’ve found that even when cookbooks are geared toward younger ages (my boys are 7 and 9), those recipes can still be appealing to older kids. One of our favorite books is one called “Toddler Cafe” even though they are long past that stage in their lives!
