Thanks to everyone who celebrated the first ever WDW Foodie Fest meet-up with us on Sunday, October 3rd, 2010! I can’t think of a better way to meet so many people who have become my great friends along the Disney Food Blog journey over the past couple of years!
Thanks to our Volunteers
A huge thanks goes out to the wonderful volunteers who offered hours of their time and invented last minute strategies to make sure the 300+ people who came through the door were well taken care of, whether they wanted to just sit a spell and have a Mickey bar or head out on the trail of the WDW Foodie Fest Amazing Race Scavenger Hunt!
Thank you so very much to Dan, Cheryl, Sue and Rich, Anna, Tony, Cody, Heather, Chris, Kristen and Brian, Kristen V. and family, and all the other folks who chipped in!
WDW Foodie Fest “Amazing Race” Scavenger Hunt
The “big event” at the WDW Foodie Fest was a scavenger hunt through Epcot and the 15th Annual International Food & Wine Festival! By solving the Master Clue Answer, teams were entered into a raffle to win some great prizes donated by some pretty incredible sponsors:
- Dinner for two at La Luce by Donna Scala donated by the Hilton Bonnet Creek Resort and Waldorf Astoria Orlando
- A $50 Disney Gift Card donated by MEI-Mousefan Travel
- Four Disney Food Blog aprons donated by yours truly!
Grand Prize Winner: Team Edward
Team Edward chose the opportunity to have dinner for two at La Luce by Donna Scala! I just sent him a few photos of our meal there and I can’t wait to hear how they like the restaurant! Thanks again to Hilton Bonnet Creed Resort for such an awesome prize!
First Prize Winner: Team Tigger & Tiger
Tigger and Tiger will be receiving that $50 gift card, courtesy MEI-Mousefan Travel, in the mail very soon! Thanks for playing, guys!
Second Prize Winner: Team Lone Wolf
Team Lone Wolf is expecting his Disney Food Blog apron in the mail soon! 🙂
Third Prize Winner: Team High Street Regulars
The High Street Regulars are getting a couple of Disney Food Blog aprons soon as well!
Fourth Prize Winner: Team CoCo TayTay
I haven’t heard back from these folks yet, but as soon as they contact me, they’re gettin’ an apron!
However, LOTS of teams completed the WDW Foodie Fest Scavenger Hunt with the correct Master Clue Answer! Click here to see the names of the finalists!

Wow, it really sounds like you all had a great time. I’m so sad and sorry that I couldn’t make it this year, but I’m definitely going to be in the Orlando/Florida area next year for school so I should be able to make it!
Also, if you have it and it’s not to much trouble would you mind giving us a preview of what the Scavenger Hunt was like AJ?
Thanks! 😀
Congrats to the winners! AJ, can you post the questions and answers to the hunt? We tried doing them by memory and didn’t get too far 🙂
Big thanks to everyone involved in planning and hosting the event! My husband and I (aka “Team Edward”) had a blast doing the scavenger hunt; winning was just icing on the butterfinger cupcake! 😉 We’re already looking forward to next year’s event.
