2011 Epcot Food and Wine Festival Theme
The new theme this year is a nod to travel from a pre-World War I perspective, with vintage luggage tags with a culinary flair and transportation icons.
The banners that will be seen throughout the World Showcase will be strikingly similar to one another this year!
Some topiaries will also be re-purposed from the Flower and Garden Festival and updated with a travel theme.
New World Showcase Booths and Menu Items
There are three brand new World Showcase booths at this year’s Festival, and one newly returning booth. The marketplace kiosks have been shuffled around and many are in a new home so be sure to check your Festival guide map to find your favorite countries. The new Hawaii and Caribbean kiosks are slated to join the family in the front of World Showcase, and Australia will also be moved to the front area.
Here are the details on the new booths as well as a peek at the new menu items we’ll get to sample!

And the new Craisin Bread:
She also sampled the New Zealand Sea Scallop:
And here’s this year’s dessert trio: White Chocolate Macadamia Mousse with Dark Chocolate Pearls (Hawaii); Tres Leches Verrine (Portugal); Pastel de Nata (Portugal). This is served with an Apple Ice Wine from Canada.

Thanks for all of the yummy info – now I am even more excited for this year’s Festival! Can’t wait to eat our way through each and every booth 🙂
Thanks for taking the time last night (this morning!) to post all this. Whew $$$ events this year!
Thanks for update. All sounds delish, however not very vegan/vegetarian friendly. So far, all we can do is drink some of those lovely concoctions, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. But we would like to sample some food, too. Any suggestions?
Holly — Me too!
Sally — Yep; expensive ones, indeed. 🙂 I stick with the low-cost ones!
Jean — There will definitely be some veggie dishes at the festival — no worries! Not sure about vegan though; those can be harder to find.
I can’t wait. I may sign up for the Italy Food and Wine Pairing.
Unfortunately, we’re having to leave for home on Friday, Sept. 30 but will be in EPCOT on Thurs., Sept. 29. Will there be any part of the F&W Festival open that day? (if you’re allowed to tell).
Jo Ann — I can’t wait to hear all about it!!
Laurie — YES! They usually do a preview day on the Thursday before the festival officially begins. If they do it again this year, you’ll have a chance to visit some of the World Showcase booths!
I’ll let you know if I decide to sign up and will write a review if you would like. It won’t be until the last weekend of the F & W Festival.
Yay!!! Thank, AJ.
AJ, I am so excited! Zanna-great job and great pix!! Pair all of this up w 38 special, starship, sugar ray & night ranger..oh my! lol 🙂
Jo Ann — Sounds good! Let me know.
Laurie — No Problem! I hope they do it this year!
Maria — No kidding!!
Will the US not have a booth?
So far I see that Chile, Puerto Rico, Spain and USA are out and Scandinavia, Caribbean, Portugal and Hawaii is in.
Maybe the country of Hawaii is taking the USA’s place…. lol
Todd — Yep; I think Hawaii will take the USA’s place in the marketplaces this year.
So many places that I want to check out!! I can’t wait, haha. Thanks AJ and Zanna for all the great info!
I am a vegetarian and would like to know what my options are! I want to go to food and wine and want to know where i can go !!
Thanks for the great info! We have our trip all planned and this is the highlight for us! I have been dying to know what the menus are going to be! Looks like the only thing I will miss will be the samosas at the India marketplace. I will be sad not to see that one. Oh, and no lobster rolls!!! Oh no – that’s going to be sorely missed. We usually stop there at least twice every day….
But excited about Scandinavia and a chance to get a Belgian waffle since that marketplace wasn’t there last time we visited in 08!
I decided to sign up for the Italy Food and Wine Pairing.
Grace — There WILL be lobster rolls! They’ll be at the Hops and Barley booth this year!
JoAnn — Awesome!! I’d love for you to review it if you’re interested.
Absolutely
YAY!!!!!!!!!!! You just made my day!!!!! Thanks AJ!
