I was hoping to book online. I have 9 minutes to wait before I can call. It’s going to be a long 9 minutes.
Wine seminar on November 11 and the Italy Food & Wine Pairing for November 12 have been booked. I can’t wait to attend these events.
This was my first experience ever calling WDW Dining at the crack of dawn, and even though I called exactly at 7am, the 10 minute wait to get to a live person was nerve wracking! But in the end, I was successful, so I’m very excited! Really looking forward to the Oct 23 Sweet Sunday session that I booked. (Other culinary demos I had booked yesterday during the AP/TiW window, though I missed the Robert Irvine session since apparently it filled on the first day!)
You can book some of the bigger events online: 3D Dessert, Party for the Senses and some of the culinary and mixology seminars!
Good luck to everyone booking today! A knowledgeable CM can make a huge difference as we were finished in 15 minutes!
Melissa Sue: How were you able to book online? I couldn’t find a link at the wdw or foodwinefest sites.
JoAnn — Way to go!!!! Sounds fantastic! 🙂 I’m still on hold 😛
Keith — Rock on! Congrats on such great events! I can’t wait to hear about Sweet Sundays!
Melissa Sue — Thanks for the heads up on the online PftS and 3D DDD booking!
Chris — So true, so true! And see the first two paragraphs above for links to online booking.
Sunday Oct.23 – Mexico Tequila Lunch and the Bacardi Rum Mixology. (and lots of food booths!)
You can book it as a regular dining reservation. Go to the Make a Reservation page and click “Special Dining Experience.” It’s in the pull down menu.
My husband ended up with a horrible CM and we now have no idea what we’ve actually booked.
Alright, now I’m furious. Our reservations are all wrong (not the right number of people, not the right events) and of course they are non refundable and the events are full. I have been a WDW regular for years and I’ve never had service this bad.
Was on the phone at exactly 7 am. 35 minutes later on hold I got the “thank you for calling” and disconnect. Thankfully we had a second phone holding which answered in another 10 minutes. We got all 3 requests (PFTS/WVL, Italy Pairing and French Regional lunch. Very nerve wracking. The process is horrible and the phone answering services are poor.
Sorry to hear some of you had a not so good experience. I had a great CM. I got a busy signal the first time I tried calling. Called again and got right through.
I wanted to report back on our booking situation. I contacted guest relations and let them know what happened. About a week later, one of their reps called me back and we went over the situation. She told me she “might” be able to work something out. About an hour later she called me back and she was able to add another person to our French Regional Lunch reservation (even though the event was sold out). I have to give the Guest Relations team credit, they made this situation right.
