It’s official!! A Disney World Free Dining offer is now available for check-in dates 9/2 – 9/25 in September 2013! This means that guests taking advantage of the offer will get a free Disney Dining Plan with their Magic Your Way package.
Must Arrive Between 9/2-9/25
The offer is currently available only for guests ARRIVING September 2 to September 25, 2013. Our understanding is that a minimum stay of 3 nights is required. The package may not be booked for longer than 14 nights.
This means that even if you arrive late in the offer window, you will still be able to apply free dining to your entire stay. For example, if you arrive on September 25th, you can still have free dining for your whole trip, up to 14 days.
We currently don’t have any knowledge as to whether the free dining offer will be extended in either direction.
Must Stay at a Disney-Owned Resort on Property
Guests must stay at a Disney-Owned Resort. If you stay at a Value Resort, you’ll receive the Quick Service Dining plan for FREE. (Note that you can upgrade to the standard or deluxe dining plans by paying the difference in cost per night.)
Stay at a Moderate, Deluxe, or Deluxe Villa Resort, and you will receive the standard Dining plan for FREE. (You can upgrade to the deluxe dining plan by paying the difference in cost per night.)
NOTE: At the moment, Ft. Wilderness campsites, all 3-bedroom villas, and Little Mermaid rooms at Art of Animation Resort are not included in this offer.
Must Book Tickets
In addition to booking a minimum stay of 3 nights at one of the above Disney resorts, you’ll also need to purchase AT LEAST a 2-day Magic Your Way Disney World ticket. These can be upgraded to include park hopper, water parks and more, and other options.
To book, call 407-WDisney.

Do you know if this will work at the Disneyland resort as well?

Booked my trip this morning, sept 14th – 22nd .. the travel agent was on the phone for over 2 hours to book it.. so word got out quickly… also some of the more popular ADRs are already booked…
Amanda says
Sooooo excited! We booked Sept. 25 – Oct. 3 so that we can hopefully attend the October Snack Attack!!
Chuckie says
No Christine it is just a Disney World thing 🙁
I am really excited we always do deluxe so this free dining allowed us to upgrade!!!
Lisa says
Does anyone have any insight into whether or not the free dining will roll into the fall months (October-November) like it typically does? Any idea when that will come out? I am so hoping so!
Christine says
Oh well…. We are headed to the Grand Californian in September and this would have been great.
Steff says
We booked our room through some friends in the Disney Vacation Club, using their points – does this offer still apply?
(I’d assume no, but you never know!)
Shanna says
Right fingers crossed they do the November dates like last year and I can relive my 2012 trip…so much food!
betsy says
i wonder how this works for passholders…
chris says
ticket package is required – not for passholders.
Leslie says
We were already going in September and our travel agent held rooms before booking officially in our names, waiting for this, but we had already made dining reservations right at 180 days just in case. I’m excited that it did happen, but I’m a little worried that the parks will be more crowded than when we usually go in September since it’s being offered for such a short period of time. I guess you take the good with the bad!
Tiffany W. says
Tonight, I received a free dining pin for select dates from the end of August all the way through to December. So keep an eye out for more dates being released. I was able to book free dining starting the 25th of August.
AJ says
Tiffany W. — Thanks for the news!

I’m a passholder and booked a few weeks ago for Sept 2nd-7th. Sadly we don’t get this unless we pay for tickets and they have to be at least a 2 day ticket for every person in your family. I called today and my current rate would increase by $400 if I added the tickets. So not worth it. I really wish us passholders could get together and tell Disney they should do something more for us then 10% off. We pay good money to go to the parks all year and also give them good money at the parks on each visit. Its very hard to just go to Disney and not spend a penny while there. I know its possible but this family loves the Mouse too much not to spend. I just always secretly hope to get some kind of perks. Never gotten much of anything from Disney that I didn’t pay for. I was also married there so that’s how big our love is.
Rob says
Would you get this deal if you try to make reservations through the website? Or only if you call the number?
I’m going through it online and there is no mention of free dining packages or any discount listed at checkout.
Leslie says
Hey Rob – I don’t know about booking directly, but we always go through a travel agent, who you can contact online if you don’t like the phone like me.
ann says
any ideas how we can get free dining as not available for uk flights booked for 25 sept 2013
Nicole says
Any deals for October yet? When do they usually come out with them??
AJ says
Nicole — No deals yet. In the past, they’d already announced by now. Some folks are getting personalized pin codes via email and regular mail to use for dates throughout the year, though, so if you’re registered on the Disney site, you may get one. They’re arbitrarily sent out.
Beth says
I’ve been weighing pros and cons and I got some good package rates from my AAA agent too (for the Free Dining times). I called Disney directly about passholders getting the meal plan. She said you can still get it by getting at least 2-day tickets, but, that you can keep the tickets and apply the value of them towards the cost of renewing annual passes. It seems like you’d at least not lose your money that way if you were planning to renew anyway. I didn’t get more details cause I don’t plan on getting annual passes 2 years in a row. But you can call Disney and ask them if you’re interested. It’s not ideal but it might be a good option for some pass holders.
Beth says
I was referring to the Free Dining (“getting the meal plan”) offer in my first post.
Tammy Tavares says
Hmmmm i am a DVC member and staying in June/July 2013 but again in fall. Why dont these features happen for us?
Shirley says
We are going Sept 25 till Oct 1……free meal plan
donna says
well it figures the first year we book a really great hotel, the polynesian, and they don’t extend the free dining until sept 28. we come in the 28th. why wouldn’t they do it until a saturday for gosh sakes….. not liking that
donna says
to tiffany,,,, where did you get the pin deliverd, email or where?
Karen Rector says
How do you get a pin from Disney?
AJ says
Karen — Head over to disneyworld.com and sign up for their promotional emails (this will be an option when you create a username and password). You are never guaranteed to get a pin code, but that at least gives Disney a way to contact you.
Chris says
I am trying to book our honeymoon from the UK for September but cannot figure out where and how to get the free dining. Can somone advise?
Thanks
Nicole McGuinness says
We had free dinning September 2013. For our family of 4 (2 children considered adults) we saved $1500 for the 9 nights we were there. We ate at places we would not have gone to if it wasn’t for the free dinning. Free dinning was released 2 weeks after I had booked & Disney added it to my reservation when I rang them to see if we qualified. We travelled from Australia so this was such an extra bonus to our Disney holiday.
Disney Mom says
I have tried everything to get a PIN. I have signed up for anything and everything Disney related. I have even signed up my husband. I’ve called Disney every week, twice a week sometimes for the past month just to have them look in their system to see if there is a PIN code for us. Nothing. Guess I will have to surrender to the fact that we will not have any free dining for our stay in in late August. Drat!!! For a family of 5, that is a real bummer.
Chantelle Richards says
We are booking next week for 3 weeks animal kingdom resort. From 5th september- 26th september.. Will this apply to us or are we too late? Xx
AJ says
Chantelle — If there are still packages available it would apply to you. You’ll need to call and re-book with Disney though.
chassidy says
I booked through Disney Vacation Club and I am assuming the free dining plan wouldnt apply to that?
Brooke says
When I am on the Disney website to book, it says you have to do 5 nights/6 days to get the free dining. Do I need to call to book in order to only have to do 3 nights/2 days? Or am I missing something else?
Deanna says
Just woke up to find new discounts for Fall 2013! Our trip misses the free dining by 4 days! Bummed about that, but at least we should be able to get the room discount. Free dining would have been great, but we are there Oct 6-11, one special ends Oct. 2 and does not start again until Oct. 18. Thats ok, we are a family that does not eat alot anyway, so probably a better deal for the room discount anyway.
Kera says
I just found the dates for the fall free dining. (Just in time for the Food & Wine Festival, get a FREE Disney Dining Plan at Walt Disney World this fall when you book a full price Magic Your Way package and check in between 9/29/13 – 10/2/13, 10/18/13 – 11/2/13, 11/11/13 – 11/23/13 or 12/12/13 – 12/22/13.)
We are already booked for 11/8-11/15, is there anyway to get this to apply to our stay?
Thomas says
My and my Girlfriend and going on the 6th of September for 14 nights at Port Orleans Resort (which I presume is moderate) and we only had the Quick Service dining plan free?
