This past May, fans of the Indiana Jones film franchise were excited to learn about the plans for Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar to join the line-up of new dining venues coming to Disney Springs!
The storyline will revolve around Indiana Jones and his pilot (who serves as the name inspiration for the location), Jock Lindsey. While the menu will feature themed tapas and specialty cocktails, the location itself will be decked out with vintage travel posters, aviation equipment, and even correspondence between Indy and Jock. The opening is anticipated for fall of 2015, and based on a recent visit to the site, progress seems to be coming along very nicely indeed!
Here’s a glimpse at the concept art for the restaurant:
And now a few of the in-progress features…
As promised, Jock’s pet snake Reggie has received at least one nod so far as part of the outdoor docked boat seating area!
In fact, the Hangar Bar already has a spot on the most recent Downtown Disney map (designated as coming in Fall of 2015), along with the also-upcoming Morimoto Asia (previously slated for a Summer 2015 opening).
Text inside the map informs that even though the transformation into Disney Springs won’t reach completion until 2016, the official name change will happen sometime later this year.
Progress continues to be the name of the game in Downtown Disney!
Are you excited to visit Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar on a future Disney Springs visit? Please let us know with a comment!

OK, let’s get it done! I’m ready to eat!!!
Hope it is ready by the end of September!
Interesting that, at least from what we can see so far, there’s no obvious Indiana Jones reference. If you don’t remember Jock or Reggie you wouldn’t realize its a reference. I like that.
Seems like the Hanger Bar was a good bit ahead of the Asia Restaurant, but Morimoto Asia is already listed on the Disney Dining website. Will the Hanger Bar be taking reservations? Any new updates on openings? Who isn’t dying to try some of that Rolling Boulder Sliders or “Squid! Why’d It Have to Be Squid” flatbread!! LOL and don’t get me started on the drinks! Oh really DO! 😉
Can’t wait!
So looking forward to this. Just re-watching Indiana Jones now to refamiliarize myself with those inside joke menu items. We’ll be there for lunch on October 3.
TW– I called the Disney dining number and they said that because it’s a “lounge” there will be no reservations. Hoping it’s not too crowded when we go.
