We’re back at the Magic Kingdom for Round Two of the Returning Snacks Series!
Perhaps you were with us when we stopped by Sleepy Hollow Refreshments earlier this week to investigate the return of the Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich. (It was something of a disappointment, honestly. Find out why here.)
Well, we had one more item to look into that day…. could the rumors be true? Had the Sweet Cream Cheese Pretzel REALLY come back to The Lunching Pad? And, if so, is it still every bit as good as we remember?
Not that it’s so hard to remember. The Sweet Cream Cheese Pretzel only split from the scene earlier this year, and unfortunately its savory counterpart, the Jalapeño Cheese Pretzel, disappeared right along with it.
But, lo and behold, on our recent Magic Kingdom jaunt, there it was.

The Sweet Cream Cheese Pretzel is back on the menu at The Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland (still priced about the same as it was and once again a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan)!

Now, the thing with this pretzel is that it doesn’t look like much from the outside. Your basic pretzel, by the looks of it.

But what you have to understand is that this non-salted pretzel slightly dusted with breadcrumbs is filled with a ribbon of super soft cream cheese throughout (not an icing, just simple cream cheese) that is sweetened just enough to satisfy a sugar craving without leaving you with an unpleasant crash after. And between the thick, soft dough and the richness of the cream cheese it is seriously satisfying. And completely addicting.

I am SO happy to have it back! Now, does the return of the Sweet Cream Cheese Pretzel at The Lunching Pad mean that the Jalapeño Cheese Pretzel is not far behind? Unfortunately, we don’t know… but OH, do I hope so! One thing’s for sure: we’ll be checking out the other popular pretzel stops around Disney World like Animal Kingdom’s Eight Spoon Cafe (formerly Beastly Kiosk) and Epcot’s Block and Hans to find out everything we can!
In the meantime, I’ll be content with this one 🙂 . How about you?

This confirmation just made my entire day!! As I was scrolling through the app to decide where my husband and I should have dinner this evening at the MK, I noticed that the cream cheese pretzels had been added to the Lunching Pad’s menu. I can’t wait to enjoy this tasty treat tonight!!

Where can I find these pretzels now. I had one five years ago and loved them! Super sad to find out of the menu change for the holidays.
Jamie: The only place we’ve seen them is Lunching Pad, unfortunately. They come and go from the menu, so keep checking!
