Things are changing once again at The Diamond Horseshoe in Magic Kingdom! For the past couple of years, this former seasonal Counter Service location has instead offered All-You-Care-To-Enjoy, Family-Style service.
And starting this coming Wednesday, May 16th, this restaurant will transition once more by offering an a la carte menu in addition to All-You-Care-To-Enjoy options. Let’s take a look at the a la carte menu first!
Sandwiches will include the Carved Beef Brisket Sandwich with creamy coleslaw served on a brioche bun, a Creamy Turkey Salad Sandwich served on multigrain bread with lettuce and tomato, and a Grilled Chicken Thigh Sandwich with BBQ mayo, lettuce, tomato and onion served on a Kaiser roll.
A BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich topped with Mac and Cheese and crispy onions will also be served on a brioche bun! There will also be an option to order the Mac and Cheese with pulled pork and crispy onions as an entree.
The Mixed Green Salad will be available to order on its own, or topped with your choice of meat.
Platters will also be highlighted on the menu. Served with your choice of two sides and cornbread, options will include the Carved Beef Brisket Platter, the Smoked BBQ Pulled Pork Platter, and the Grilled Chicken Thighs Platter. A Vegetable Platter will also be available, with choice of four sides.
Those Side options will include Potato Salad with grilled onions and a serrano dressing, Creamy Coleslaw with red and green cabbage, Jalapeno Cheddar Corn Bread with honey chipotle butter, Mac and Cheese, Corn on the Cobb with cheese, Corn Fritters, and BBQ Baked Beans. A House Salad or Watermelon Salad will provide lighter side options.
You can also add The Diamond Horseshoe as the final Table Service spot to add alcohol to the menu for of-age guests, joining the recent alcoholic beverage additions at Crystal Palace and The Plaza Restaurant. With The Diamond Horseshoe adding American beers and wines to the menu, now all Magic Kingdom Table Service restaurants serve alcohol.
Desserts will feature Buttermilk Chocolate Cake with bourbon glaze, Peaches and Cream Cheesecake with streusel topping, and a classic Blueberry Cobbler with lemon and mint cream and oat topping.
As mentioned earlier, the All-You-Care-To-Enjoy options will not entirely be absent from The Diamond Horseshoe. An All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Appetizer Platter will serve Mixed Green Salad, Watermelon, Cucumber, and Tomato Salad, Potato Salad, and Jalapeno Cornbread.
The All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Entree Platter will include helpings of Carved Beef Brisket, Smoked BBQ Pork, and Grilled Chicken Thighs accompanied with Mac and Cheese, Corn on the Cobb, Creamy Coleslaw, and BBQ Baked Beans.
And the Dessert Platter will include all three desserts mentioned above: Buttermilk Chocolate Cake, Peaches and Cream Cheesecake, and Blueberry Cobbler.
Remember, The Diamond Horseshoe’s hours are somewhat limited in comparison to other Magic Kingdom Table Service locations, as it’s typically open from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. So if you are intrigued by the new menu, be sure to make an Advance Dining Reservation for the Horseshoe!

I love this place, but it’s never open when I’m there!
Last time we went to Disney World we were surprised to find that the show is no longer there! We thought it was a classic and were quite disappointed.
In all honesty I thought – ‘changes? Is it even open then?’
Just an FYI, but the Disney Parks Blog updated their post to state that the opening date is 5/23/18.
Do I see beer & wine??? Yeah!!
We went basically only for the pulled pork sandwich…. been drooling over it for weeks and were excited to try…. we made dinner reservations only to find out that dinner wasn’t serving that…… really disappointing! So we cancelled our reservation. $36 per person for something we didn’t even want (all you can eat) was insanely high for what we were expecting to pay. We weren’t prepared to spend quite that much.
