We’re only about one month away from Halloween… at Disneyland Resort, that is 😉 !
Halloween Time in Disneyland kicks off on September 7th and runs through the Big Day on October 31st! So we’re here with a Sneak Pre-BOO! of all the spooky fun!
Halloween Overlays
Guests entering Disney California Adventure will find that Oogie Boogie from The Nightmare Before Christmas has taken over the main entrance! And we’re pumped that Cars Land will once again receive a seasonal makeover and become Radiator Screams.
Look for Vamp Mater and other Cars characters to be all decked out in their “Haul-O-Ween car-stumes”! Cars Land attractions will be transformed, too, into Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.
Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! will also transform each night into Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark.
In Disneyland Park, the Main Street Pumpkin Festival sets the seasonal scene on Main Street!
And, of course, the popular Haunted Mansion Holiday will return along with Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy.
Look for the tribute to Dia de los Muertos in Frontierland.
And be sure to keep an eye out for Disney characters in their Halloween costumes!
The Arrival of Vampirina
Disney Junior star Vampirina will make her debut during Halloween Time! Guests will be able to meet Vampirina in Disney California Adventure starting September 7th.
And guests at the extra-ticketed Mickey’s Halloween Party in Disneyland can look for Vampirina during the Frightfully Fun Parade.
Trick or TREAT?!
Trick or Treat? Let’s go with treats! Though we don’t yet know what seasonal snacks will ghoulishly glide into the parks for 2018, some of the snacks from 2017 seen below should give you an idea of what we may find this fall!
Some of our favorites from last year included the Spoke-y Cone Macaron at the Cozy Cone Motel, and the Car-Achnid Pot Pie at Flo’s V-8 Cafe!
Vampire Mater Bread flew into Cars Land as well.
The Bat Wing Sundae at Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream was a huge hit last year!
So was the adorable Mummy Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich at Schmoozies.
In fact, all sorts of classic treats around the parks received spooky makeovers, from Mickey Mummy Macarons, to Pumpkin Cheesecake, to Black Rose Cake Pops to Oogie Boogie Krispy Treats!
The Seasonal Beignet at the Mint Julep Bar was Dreamsicle last Halloween.
And we can’t WAIT to see what they scare up for 2018! How about BOO… I mean, you 😉 ?

I’ll be there toward the end of September for the Halloween party! I have a reservation for the Blue Bayou and their preferred parade view menu dinner. We did it last year and the food was amazing and the parade view was so convenient. I’m interested to see what their pre-fix menu will look like this year!

Hi DFB 🙂
I’ve been to Disney World 10 times, and I love FOOD! I totally agree- food IS a theme park! I’m heading to Disneyland in September for the first time ever in my 35 years. I’ve seen all of your must eat videos for DLP, but i didn’t see any for DCA. I know that park has been going through some changes and I did catch the Pixar Fest video and new treats at Pixar Pier but I didn’t see an overall best eats and restaurants at DCA.
