We’ve been keeping you updated on the progress of the transformation of Caribbean Beach Resort. One of the big changes includes updates in the dining locations. Today, Disney announced the menu options for Centertown Market and the Banana Cabana Pool Bar.
Centertown Market is the quick-service option at the resort themed as an indoor street market with seating or grab-and-go options.
The re-imagined and refurbished area will be an inviting space includes open shutters, wooden light posts, an awnings giving an overall feel of a Caribbean Marketplace.
The Centertown Market menu includes family-friendly, fast casual offerings as well as customizable Latin and Caribbean-inspired dishes. One of the highlights of the menu is the Island Bowl available for breakfast and dinner.
To build your bowl you’ll start with a base, then add each of the following:
- Bases include: red beans and rice (offered all day), home fries (for breakfast), and greens (for dinner).
- Breakfast Protein: rotisserie beef, bacon, chorizo, or plant-based sausage
- Breakfast sauce options include: salsa verde or pico de gallo
- Plus, at breakfast you can choose what kind of egg you want on top: scrambled, poached, or tofu scramble
- Dinner Protein: rotisserie beef, pork shoulder, banana leaf-wrapped fish, jerk chicken thighs, or vegan chipotle seitan
- Dinner sauce options include: chimichurri, garlic ranch, or spicy pink sauce
With all of these options, there are over 30 different combinations to choose from for both breakfast and dinner!
Breakfast options also include classic dishes like Eggs Benedict or the All American Breakfast Platter with eggs, home fries, sausage, bacon, and toast as well as island-inspired creations like Coconut Waffles with fresh fruit or the Banana Pancakes topped with granola and pineapple chunks and served with sausage and maple syrup.
Fresh salads, Sicilian-style pizza, pasta dishes, and a variety of sandwiches and burgers round out the dinner menu to provide a little something for everyone in the family!
For your kiddos, there are Pirate Mickey Waffles and French Toast for breakfast and Chicken Breast Nuggets, Tacos, and Grilled Cheese for dinner.
For the more adventurous kiddos there are some unique new offerings like the Egg Popper for breakfast (a hard-boiled egg pop with green pirate juice, roasted pineapple, and bacon) and the Beef and Mushroom-blended Cheeseburger for dinner (with “cauli” fries, orange sauce, and a mini “build-your-own” Island Bowl).
And, the most important part of a meal: Dessert! This will feature a Tropical Tart with key lime, mango, and passion fruit curd with Chantilly or a Chocolate Crème Tart with chocolate cake, coffee Chantilly, and caramel crispies.
The new beverage island will offer fountain beverages featuring Coca-Cola® Freestyle, freshly-brewed coffee, and a variety of teas as well as draft beer and single-serve wine and cocktails. Or you can step inside the Grab ‘n Go Market, where you’ll find specialty coffees and quick bites to-go.
Onto the Banana Cabana Pool Bar! This pool-side bar features an outdoor lounge where you can gather for some food and refreshing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
The lounge is inspired by the festive culture found in the Caribbean, mixing a relaxed sitting area with a lively bar. Cabana-style drapes flank the seating groups and re-purposed steel drums will showcase a central communal table made from a wooden boat.
Banana Cabana will offer exclusive cocktails made with premium spirits and Caribbean seafood and mainland dishes. Drinks include the Pink Guava Colada featuring rum, guava puree, pineapple juice, and cream of coconut and the Kraken Punch with spiced rum, blood orange sour, and pomegranate and orange juices. Caribbean beers will also be available with a variety of craft and traditional beers and premium white and red wines on tap.
Non-alcoholic options will be available, including the Tropical Paradise, a fruity blend of pineapple coconut, cinnamon, and lime dusted with nutmeg.
Centertown Market and Banana Cabana are slated to open in late Fall of 2018. As always, we will keep you updated on the progress and opening dates.

The breakfast options look great!
That “Sicilian pizza” looks like it sat under a heat lamp for a brutally long period, and then was refrigerated to congeal what little moisture remained from the sauce. After seeing that picture, there is no way I’d order it!
Ann says
CraidInPA, these are press pictures and probably made off site and have been transported and sitting there for a while. It is silly to make a decision on the freshness of something from a press picture. Why don’t you go there and look at the pizza coming out of the oven before you decide.
Andrew says
In fairness to Craig, press photos usually are supposed to look even better than the actual product t entice the consumer to buy. I think this still looks like a tremendous upgrade at the resort though.
Bill Irvine says
When completed, I’m sure the place will be up to the usual Disney Standards. However, at the moment the temporary arrangements fall well short of what you would expect. More like an army mess room with sub-standard food, poorly presented and eating area like a work canteen.
We’ve been here for a fortnight and only ate in centretown once. Due to poor options. Instead, we’ve opted for Disney Springs or one of the parks each morning. Not ideal when your party includes a three & four year old. We were hear two years ago and experienced something more like the “Disney Experience”. Bill
AJ says
Bill Irvine — I’m sorry to hear it, but I’m not surprised at your experience. I really do think Disney dropped the ball on this one when it comes to providing acceptable dining options for guests at Caribbean Beach during the renovations. I hope the rest of your trip has been more magical.
AJ says
CraigInPa — Ha ha — yep, the magic of Disney World press photos ;-D That’s why we like to go directly to the restaurant when it opens and get pictures to share with our readers of what you ACTUALLY get when you order in the restaurant. Sometimes it looks better…sometimes it doesn’t ;-D
AJ says
Hi Karen — Yes, there will be gluten free options, and likely Mickey waffles. We can’t confirm until it opens, though.
