The Salt and Straw ice cream moment we’ve all been waiting for at Disneyland Resort’s Downtown Disney is coming soon!
Salt & Straw, which announced it was opening a Downtown Disney location way back in April, will throw open its doors very soon, welcoming all who love small-batch ice cream in fabulously unique flavors like Honey Lavender and Black Olive Brittle & Goat Cheese.
Our own Disneyland correspondent Heather (check her @DiningInDisney!) was sent some yummy Salt & Straw flavors so she could get a sneak peek and share with you what’s in store for visitors to the Disneyland location. Suffice to say: it’s awesome!
Heather’s favorite of the bunch was this fun Lucky Charms-inspired Pots of Gold and Rainbows flavor! (And, sorry, but the cup is Heather’s, and vintage…and the background is her incredible self-painted it’s a small world tribute in her dining room…and we can’t tell you how to be as rad as she is.)

Salt & Straw’s Lucky Charms-inspired Pots of Gold and Rainbows Flavor! (Cup is Heather’s and it’s vintage…sorry!)
We can’t wait to see what the geniuses behind Salt & Straw have up their sleeves for Disneyland Resort. But you can rest assured that we’ll be getting in on the action ASAP!

The ice cream at France in EPCOT is the best we have ever had. I’m sure this is good, too, but can’t believe it’s better.
As a Disney fan who lives in Portland (Where Salt & Straw Originated) I can say that this is going to be AMAZING! The Flavors that Salt & Straw come up with are amazing and I encourage everybody who can to try them out, even if the flavors seem a little weird (remember they come from Portland originally) give them a Try!
My personal Favorite is Strawberry Balsamic w/ Black Pepper
Kyle — thanks for sharing! We can’t wait!
When I grow up I want to be Heather!
And here’s hoping Salt & Straw will open while I am there – before October 27th please!!!
I agree with Mark. France was the best – L’Artisans de Glaces. White chocolate coconut. Salt & Straw is gonna have to be pretty great to beat France!
Kelly M.: That’s how we all feel, pretty much. 😉
