Arrr! Hello Mateys! We were in Magic Kingdom this week and were a little surprised and sad to see something missing from the Times Guide.
Last week we walked by the stage in Adventureland and Captain Jack was busy training a group of eager pirates-to-be in his Pirate Tutorial.
This week, we saw that the Times Guide no longer listed the Pirate Tutorial in Adventureland.
And sure enough, when we went by, Captain Jack was there, but he wasn’t training pirates-to-be. Now he’s there for a classic character meet and greet with a PhotoPass photographer.
There have not been any announcements from Disney yet as to the permanence of the disappearance of the Pirates Tutorial, or if Captain Jack will be here all the time for Meet and Greets. As always, we’ll keep an eye out, and keep you updated.
Perhaps we’ll drown our sorrows over the departure of this fun activity for kiddos and families in a rum cake from Tortuga Tavern!

No offense, but you guys are a little behind the times on this article. Other blogs had already posted about the closing of Pirates Tutorial weeks ago. The actors were all given two weeks notice that the show would be closing on the 29th of September.
