With only three weeks left in 2018 we are getting closer and closer to the opening date of Disney World’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Land in the fall of 2019. Now, it looks like Disney is getting just as excited as we are because we spotted the previously seen Galaxy’s Edge merchandise in a more permanent location in Hollywood Studios! While we were in the park we also checked on the progress of the construction of the new land as well as renovations at Tatooine Traders.
Take a close look at the shirt — can you see the Millennium Falcon on there between “Landing” and “2019”? That’s a cool and subtle nod to the new ride, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
We saw this merchandise before on a cart in the park, but then the cart disappeared. Now we spotted the merchandise in a store, hopefully that means it is more permanent now.
There’s also a hat that matches the shirts — and has the Millennium Falcon on it as well.
After seeing this merchandise we pretty much ran over to Toy Story Land to peek over the wall and see how progress is coming on the land. Take a look!
We’re seeing progress every week!
Looks like it is looking more and more like the concept model that you can check out in Walt Disney Presents on your way to Toy Story Land.
We wrapped up our Star Wars tour of Hollywood Studios by checking up on the structure being added to Tatooine Traders that we first saw a few weeks ago.
Well, we can’t see much since it is hidden by scaffolding, fencing, and fabric. We’re hearing this might be a Disney Vacation Club kiosk. We will keep you updated on progress and any announcements as we learn of them.
