The DFB team has been so excited about the Mickey Bars in local grocery stores ever since word dropped that we’d all get to have the Disney Parks’ iconic frozen treat at home!!! We finally found them in a Publix in Tampa, Florida, and of course, we had to review the Mickey Bars for you right away.
But our DFB readers are THE BEST, and we’ve heard from a lot of you (from Georgia to Missouri to California!) with tips on where you’ve found the Mickey Bars in your local grocery stores. So we’re gathering your tips and safeguarding them here!
Here’s our RUNNING LIST of Grocery Store Chains Selling Mickey Bars!

I bought a box at WalMart the other day. The only similarity in these bars to the ones sold on Disney property is the general shape. The ice cream and chocolate coating are both quite different. We were just at Disney last week. The bars there have a rich chocolate flavor and the ice cream is quite creamy. Not so with the store-bought bars. Listed ingredients are different. I would not buy them again. There’s no comparison at all to the Disney parks Mickey bar.

These are not the same mickey ice cream bars as sold in the Disney parks and resorts. These mickey bars are retail grocery store versions. They are smaller in size, use a different type of ice cream (light ice cream), and have a different chocolate coating (thiner coating and not as rich tasting because less real milk and sugar are used). The taste and texture are complety different then the real mickey bars sold at the parks. I live about an hour from Disney World and usually go twice a year. I bring a cooler with me and buy a case of real mickey bars from the disney resort areas, 20 bars to a case for around $120. The resorts sell the bars for $5.69, the parks sell them for $6.00. The mickey bars sold on Disney property are the premium grade bars and are not sold in the grocery stores. So, if you think you are getting the same thing, you’re not. And now you know – Cheers!
