Disneyland has seriously been killin’ it with all those amazing Get Your Ears On Celebration treats! We’ve already reviewed the awesome Fried Chicken and Beignets at Orleans Cafe in Disneyland and the yummy Mickey’s Chocolate Cup and Brownie at Fiddler, Fife, & Practical Cafe in Disney California Adventure Park – you can check out all the limited edition eats here. But today we got to try the FINAL snack to be released in the Get Your Ears On Celebration and we got the FIRST SLICE EVER — I present to you…the Celebration Cake!
We showed up at Disneyland’s Plaza Inn today anxiously awaiting the release of this limited edition treat only to be told it wasn’t going to be released until Friday…wait…WHAT?!
After confirming today’s release date via the Disney Parks Blog with both the Chef and Manager, the Chef graciously went to cut us the VERY FIRST PIECE of the Celebration Cake — Thank you Chef!! ????
Now this is one good lookin’ cake! This dessert seriously brings the party with Mickey’s signature red and yellow, some party polka dots, expertly piped frosting streamers, celebratory confetti sprinkles and of course a Mickey shaped chocolate piece to top it all off.
We found the cake itself to be dense and moist with your typical vanilla cake flavor. The filling between each layer of the red and yellow cake was awesome! Despite being described as having a “raspberry and lemon filling,” I would have been convinced if someone described it as a lemon ONLY filling. Perhaps there was a small hint of raspberry, but only slightly. The filling was THICK and flavorful. The moisture of the cake and the thick filling together made for a great quality slice of cake!
Like most decorative chocolate pieces, the Mickey topper and polka dots are much nicer to look at than to eat.
Want to join in the celebration? You can grab your own Celebration Cake at Disneyland’s Plaza Inn for $5.99. Be sure to get there soon — Get Your Ears On Celebration Treats are only available for a limited time!

It seems (to me) that Disneyland gets WAY better eats than we do in WDW. Why do you think that is?
Hi DFB Team!
Loving the colors on that cake. Any idea of how long the Get Your Ears On treats/menus will be available at Disneyland? We are headed there in late March and want to know ahead of time whether or not to look forward to these. Thanks!
Nicole, the celebration goes through September 30, and there should be specialty foods and drinks throughout. Official word is they’ll change from time to time, so we can’t guarantee any particular items will stay through March, but there should be plenty to look forward to! Have a terrific time!
